I periodically check the news for articles related to strippers or strip clubs just for curiosity and I noticed for a fairly long time that there are always a number of articles about strip club xyz closing due to illegal activity, groups wanted to "clean" areas up or clubs simply going out of business for one reason or another. While new clubs do occasionally open up, it seems to be far harder to get the adult licensing needed to open up a new club from scratch. For this reason, it seems the number of clubs around seem to be far less from what it would have been a decade or two ago. What are your thoughts? The area I grew up in and the area I started dancing in, for example has seen several closures over the last handful of years.
Countless threads on here have talked about how the industry has been changing and seems to be fairly less lucrative due to prevalence of porn, dancing becoming more mainstream and dance prices staying generally the same despite inflation, among other reasons. While all these reasons are absolutely true, I'm curious to see if fewer clubs around have hurt your options or business.
Just some thoughts, thanks for your insight.
