So, I’ve been stripping since late January of this year (201and I do like my job so far. When the money is good, it’s good; when th money is bad , it’s real bad.
I don’t have anyone else I can talk to about this.
My family knows what I do and are supportive but, I feel embarrassed and ashamed when I try my hardest and come up with near $30 and sometimes next to nothing after tip out and house fees... I know, I know, it’s something, right? But it does hurt , I can’t lie. I’ve cried more than a few times over it.
Especially, when i give it my all on stage / go up to every client in the house and get (politely ) rejected. Rejection is part of the job, we’re not all everyone’s type, etc etc.
I guess this is a long-winded way of asking successful or veteran dancers how I can be better? A month ago I wouldn’t even approach people at all! Now I do pursue where I feel I’ll be visually appreciated.
I’ll mostly start with “Do you mind if I join you?” Or “Would you like some company ?” 9/10 I’ll be rejected though. Many customers have no problems complimenting my appearance though.. which I find strange.
I’m deifinetly open to new techniques and tricks. If you have anything you feel you can help me with, feel free to comment or DM me!
