    Default Back pain from years of stripping

    So at 34 almost 35, I've had back pain when I wake up since I stopped dancing 2 years ago. I was alot more flexible in my mid to late 20s when I danced but got kinda lazy & only did vips in my 30s until I quit. My question is : how do any of you ladies handle your back pain? I'm a cam girl now & don't work out or anything really.

    Yoga definitely helps in the long run. Heating pads and warm baths as well. Get a proofessional massage once a month. Good luck

    All of the above and kratom, considered a legal high in most places, all natural organic leaf and gives you a nice head-change after the end of a long day!

    The classic stripper-back pain! Ugh! Is it lower back but to the side? Like almost hip? I had that for 10 years! Every doctor and chiropractor I went to told me I needed surgery then I finally found a good chiropractor that actually wanted to help me instead of just taking my money. And it was such an easy fix! I’ve been painted for 4 years now! Yay!

    First, the area is most likely inflammatory.. Take ibuprofen for 7-10 days. Do not drink alcohol while you’re on the ibuprofen. Get 400mg, twice a day. Then you lay on a baseball on a hard surface. Not tennisball or foam rollers, it has to be a baseball. Don’t roll hard but let it hurt a little. You will be sore the morning after, that’s ok.
    After 4-7 days you should start seeing a big difference. Then sign up for a couple of private class Pilates. Classic Pilates not stott Pilates. They will show you stretches and excersises that will help it go away completely.
    Roll on it for 1 minute 30 seconds, not more! Do it once every day while on ibuprofen.

    Clockwise dancing around a pole night after night without proper stretching and warm up. Arching your back to look sexy, floor work, grinding etc. Plus, a lot of girls try and be more flexible on stage than what they’re actually ready for, same goes for pole tricks.

    Long-term fixes-

    * expensive bed (like a Tempurpedic)

    * staying fit

    * medical care, including surgery if needed

    Annnnnddd…….older people who still work out mention doing a lot of stretching before exertion.

    If it’s the classic stripper-backpain no surgery is needed.

    Ya I'm really feeling now sitting here editing content for hours on end ugh, esp this time of the month right before my period starts. Hurts like a bitch. I try not to take too much ibuprophen though bc I take it hardcore when I'm on my period & hungover.

    The thing with ibuprofen is, if you don’t take the full cure/dose (7 days straight) it will not cure your inflammation. If you take one here and there your body gets used to it and it does not give you full effect. Kind of like if you were to take penecellin for every little headache you had then when you need if for a virus it will not help.

    * Bump*

    I've been doing a lot of lower body exercise in the pool to strengthen my lower back and pelvic region. This part of my body got really jacked up from years of high heel wearing plus some car accident related injuries.

    At a lot of YMCAs they have large hot tubs and whirlpool tubs you can do aqua exercise in without paying too much for a day pass. I'd definitely recommend trying this for back pain.

    If that's the case, make sure you have a quality chair. Relax the Back has good chairs and back supports.

    I upgraded my office chair and the good effect on my back is very noticeable.

    Also- the new generation of memory foam mattresses are AWESOME. Way better than traditionally made mattresses.

    Glad your back is feeling better. Memory foam mattresses are definitely a big improvement over other types.

    Mattress buying protips-

    I tore up our old Tempurpedic bed to see what the big mystery was all about...turns out it's just 3 layers of foam glued together. The real draw of that brand is the bed platform that can be elevated or moved (like a hospital bed.)

    The new foam mattresses on the market now are better versions of "memory foam" and are very ideal for athletes, or people living vandwelling/trailer dwelling lifestyles (the smaller foam mattresses can be trimmed to fit into vans or trailers.)

    It's always a good idea to try out the floor model mattresses at stores. Everyone has different sleep comfort needs.

    & it's fairly easy to make your own platform frame for your mattress. Sheets of plywood + a couple pallets + nails and a bit of sanding= viola, bed frame. YouTube probably has tutorials on how to do these...
