    Default Webcam Model Newbie Question

I just started out with webcam modelling. Now, I'm a guy, not exactly gay, but I do have kinks that make it easier to do camming for any viewer. I know some straight guys have an issue with guys watching them. In all honesty, I don't have any issue with anyone watching me. My kinks include exhibitionism (which is why I wanted to do this) and pegging (as I said, this one makes it easier for camming with any viewer).

I do have a question, though. I bought a Logitech C920 webcam, and I have a tripod, I just need to know the best positions for the webcam to be angled for being able to get great shots. I've seen different cammers with all kinds of angles. I know it's probably a combination of preference and what looks great to the cammer/audience. Since I'm new at this, I want to be able to take the best approach.

Test it out. Record yourself doing different things, watch it back. See what looks good, what looks odd, what needs work.

Aha, good idea. Guess I should have thought of that. I find the hardest part is getting the tripod at the right height, I want to get another one just so I coud do two level heights and just leave them so they don't change.

the thing about camming your success depends on how quick you can be self reliant and figure things out.

Experiment with different angles and lighting and see what looks good. No one can give you an answer without knowing the space you're working in, what your "best" features/angles are, what your audience responds to, etc. It takes some time to figure out your ideal set up.

I'm one to think outside the box. My question was more for examples of ideas. What's worked for some people, what may work for me, what may not. That kinda thing. I can think pretty innovatively, I just like to hear what works for other people so I have a base for other ideas. Most of my ideas spawn from hearing about other tactics. And most of the time, once I get started on something, I come up with newer ideas down the line. Just being a newbie, I need a good place to start so I can come up with other stuff. Once I learn the basics, I usually take off from there.

I have my laptop on a small table, and my c920 webcam sits on top of it. That way I'm in view when reclining on the sofa and it's at waist height if I stand in front of it. I can tilt the webcam up and down or use the zoom too. Having it on the laptop means I can seem to be looking at them while i am seeing what's happening on the screen. By having the laptop/table set back a bit, I am in view on the sofa or I can sit/stand and get closer, without having the cam at different heights.

That's exactly what I meant, and thanks! I was trying to figure out a good way to set things up. So, that definitely gives me some ideas on what I can do. =)

It also helps to checkout other models live streams and pics to see what angles they do and what there setup is. I move my camera all around...most of the time its sit on top of my monitor, during a show I tend to move it from my monitor to my desk (for booty angle) and sometimes to the floor (for full body angle, floor shows or foot fetish). Here are some thread how different setups if you're interested....
