So it has been a highly publicized movement in Hollywood... but what about the stripclub? Beyond grabby customers ... what about Staff, Managers, DJs..
Your thoughts .. stripsters..

I think most would think it doesn't apply to us. Its part if the slut shaming stigma that still prevails, that if you're a stripper you're asking for it sort of thing. The casting couch in nyc strip clubs exists, as it's been mentioned regarding Scores, Sapphires and even HQ(this you can read about online). Granred, these places are known to be 'special,' but I can tell you for a fact that places with the same level of 'special' do not warrant metoo type of issues. I don't think I've experienced the casting couch outside of nyc but I'm sure other dancers have plenty of stories, just not ones to which the general public would be sympathetic.

^^
Exactly. If strippers/sw speak up about harassment etc it's just "well what did you expect"

The #metoo movement is great and all, but I see it largely skipping over the entire service industry (especially strip clubs). There is sooo much sexism in restaurants, bars, hotels, stripclubs and the only people who are going to care about the #metoo movement are corporations that can be sued (not saying individual owners can’t be), but corporations are the ones who try to prevent lawsuits with strict policies.
As far as the #metoo movement in the club regarding customers, I think it has a negative impact on our earning potential and the future of our industry. It’s painful to say it, but stripclubs are built on soon to be antiquated ideals (sexism, objectifying women, male dominance, etc). I have been dancing for 10 yrs and see fewer and fewer bachelor parties come through the doors. Why? I think millennials have a different mentality about women and the sex industry. I think they view it as passay and slightly inappropriate, they would rather go on a camping trip or play paintball. I’m not saying that our society has (or is close to) overcome sexism, but people are trying more and more to be seen as politically correct/woke/respectful of all and throwing dollars at a half naked lady is just not as cool as it once was.
