Default Question about having something delivered from Amazon

I was going to order a heat press from Amazon under my stage name cause I have some money on my account there but when I go to check out its telling me it can't be delivered to my p o box? Not sure if it's the size and weight or something else cause I have ordered 2 other things recently and got them both delivered. Would it be safe to have it sent to my home address since I am the one placing the order? Or would it still be unsafe since my home address would be on the records of my amazon account?

    Opinions?

you can place it to yourself under your stage name, just make sure you are around to pick it up. it could be awkward if you have to pick it up from a post office sometimes they ask for ID.

My local postal worker won't deliver mail if its not in my legal name, double check to make sure that's not the same for you.

Amazon comes to my address under many names.

That is odd he will not deliver mail to your legal name.
    I would question his superior.
Proper stamps, no damage to package, no vicious dogs or threatening humans, therefor it is NONE OF HIS BUSINESS who gets mail where you live and it should be delivered.

I have had other packages delivered monthly to my door with no name bc the sender and i didnt want to get caught up in smoke. #nancybotwin

Unless the carrier knows of a good reason NOT to deliver a specific piece of mail, he/she should be delivering it as addressed. Reasons for non-delivery include:

Forwarding order on file for named recipient.

Mail with that specific name has been refused by the customer before.

Customer has placed a temporary vacation hold order on their mail.

I think you meant not my legal name instead of my legal name but..

The post office will support him, I've had to go pick up packages and prove it was for me by showing social media accounts. It's not a battle worth fighting for me, especially if Amazon could easily give the buyer my info or prove delivery with a photo of my door. I just use a reship service currently.

I use to put c/o my legal name in the shipping address for amazon. so that might be another option as well.

She cant do that if the money on her account is from a Gift card though. They wont allow that.

You dont have to have a legal name on it if they are delivering it but if you miss it and must pick up you will. Just have it delivered to your home address and then delete the address off your account after you have sent the order.

Unless its not from a gift card then yes buy a gift card and send to another account.

It's been awhile but I think what I did was take the gift card code from the email and load the money to my non-camgirl account, the one with my real name and address.

I went and got a UPS PO box in the next town over from me. I got hassled at first for the name not matching my legal name. Technically, I'm only allowed to have stuff delivered there in my legal name. The work around would have been to create a business account, and that means I would have had to create a registered business. I'm not there yet. So, I'll go check and it and if they don't hassle me, I get my package. If they do hassle me and don't let me pick it up, I'll let them send it back and I owe a fan a sincere apology.

Once you have a GC code you can load it to any account you want. I always have guys buy the gift cards for themselves and then take a screenshot of the code and I put it in my personal account. BUT once you load it onto an Amazon account you cannot move it to another account and you cannot use that money to purchase a gift card.

I just tried ordering an iphone and its doing the same thing? But about a month ago I ordered 2 different things and didnt have a problem?

I ended up having to order my iphone and have it sent to my virtual address in Oregon which sucks cause now its going to take me a lot longer to get it plus I will have to pay more fees on top of it!

Anyone else have a problem sending stuff from Amazon to a po box? I just got my po box 2 months ago to try and save. Whats weird tho is a ordered a toy and a bikini , both of them were delivered to a po box? I was thinking the reason the heat press couldnt be delivered but because it was so big but then it did the same thing with a phone?

If your PO box is with the actual US postal system, they don't accept deliveries to a PO Box from Fedex and UPS. Therefore companies on Amazon that ship via Fedex/UPS will insist on a real address.

yes my po box is in the usa but I have had other stuff delivered to my po box from amazon so thats why I cant understand why they are only delivering certain things? Like I couldnt have my iphone sent to my po box but I was able to order a phone case for it and it's being delivered to the po box?

I mean, is your PO box located at the official US government post office, as opposed to a UPS store or some other corporate establishment? If it is in a real post office, they won't take any mail that is coming from UPS or Fedex. They will only accept packages that are shipped through the plain old government postal system.

If that's what's going on, some Amazon packages can come to you, because the seller ships through the regular postal system. Other packages will not accept your address because they ship through Fedex or UPS, so they can't send anything to a PO box that's owned by the post office. Some Amazon sellers get bulk discounts through UPS or Fedex, so that's how they prefer to ship things. They may also consider Fedex or UPS to be a safer way to ship expensive items, like a phone. If you check different sellers on Amazon, they may be able to send you the exact same product via the regular mail.

I see what you are saying now! My po box is with the official us government ;( It sucks tho cause I rented it just for ordering stuff from Amazon since the fees are so high with my virtual address. How do I find sellers that ship thru usps instead of fed ex or ups tho?

You could do an amazon drop box or pick up location. You just need to show proof of address. The name on the package doesnt have to be the same as your name.

Apple WILL NOT ship to PO boxes. Period. They usually ship through Fed-Ex and someone (18 and over) has to be there to sign for the item. You can always have them ship your phone to your nearest Apple store and you can go in and pick up your item (after showing your ID).

There are many items on Amazon where the shipper ONLY ships via UPS or Fed-Ex. They find those shippers are more reliable and secure. A lot of expensive items and electronics on Amazon are normally shipped via UPS or Fed-Ex.

If you're using a po box with the USPS it's gonna come down to the individual branch and their day to day policies.

My po box in Philly was at one of the worst post offices I've ever dealt with. Rude, incompetent and completely unhelpful.

Both po boxes in Central and South Florida were beyond accomodating. I'm allowed to put more than one name as recipients for mail. Plus I can list the post office address instead of entering po box #1001. I think the person at the counter referred to it as Street address boxing? Ive been able to avoid sharing my real address on lots of things with that feature.

Using 1200 Post Office Ln #1001 Miami, Fl gets all of my packages delivered. From ups, fedex and private contractors.
