    Default Raids

With FOSTA/SESTA I am feeling jumpy about possibly getting caught up in a raid.
I don't dance consistently at one club, and while I do my research, I don't always know what I am walking into.
I also don't think LE is going to dump a lot of money into raiding clubs all of the sudden, at least clubs that arent already a problem. At the same time we are seeing city councils flexing some muscle (New Orleans and Wisconsin )

So my question is: how likely do we think an increase in raids will be? Where would these raids be? Urban(city) clubs? Rural? Anyone seeing changes in their area?

Has anyone been caught up in a raid and willing to share your experience?

Thank you ladies, lots of thoughts going through my head. Stay safe.

By WI do you mean Wisconsin or where? But I have read and also heard about the New Orleans raids..

As far as recent changes- there is one club in my area that has gone seriously downhill in the last few months- but idk if it has anything to do with FOSTA/SESTA. The place got blacklisted by the local military base lol. I almost never dance at this particular club because it has kinda been a hooker joint since always. But it has gotten far far worse in the last couple of months for sure. I used to be able to make money there as a clean dancer. The last 2 times I have gone (spaced several months apart) were complete garbage. Only the extras girls were making anything decent.

Wisconsin. I edited the post to make it clearer.
There is a county in Wisconsin trying to shut down all 3 of it's strip clubs as part of the crack down.
Minneapolis is also looking at its "red light" zoning ordinances.

Raids can happen anywhere at anytime. I don't really know about rural areas since I don't nor have I ever lived in that kind of area. I imagine in a rural area they wouldn't have enough manpower to dedicate to organizing a raid. Then again, I did hear of a club in a bible belt state that was raided. Raids seem to mostly happen at urban clubs where a lot of extra's are going on and men are stupidly posting about it on tuscl and different websites about how they did whatever sex act with a particular dancer. It doesn't even have to be true. It could be that the dancer rejected this particular customer and so he is getting revenge by making false claims and having his buddies do the same. All it takes is for enough extra's girls to offer sex, bj, handjob, or whatever else. It doesn't always have to be about sex/prostitution either although that is mostly what LE is looking for. It could also be if a stripper offered to give drugs to an undercover or said she doesn't have any but knows where he can get some and mentioned another stripper has the hookup, that can attract LE to send undercovers in there. Keep in mind that LE often want to make raids that result in as many charges as possible. If they can net several prostitution and drug charges all in one day, even better. Once they have their targets and feel confident that they have enough intel to go with they'll raid.

The war against stripclubs is alive and well. More and more close as opposed to them opening. More raids. More undercovers. Hold onto your seatbelts.

There is no rhyme or reason to it. I've worked in small towns that decide to crack down just because they want the clubs gone, not because of a lot of crime. On the other hand I've worked in small towns where they let shit go on for YEARS. Everyone knows it's a whorehouse and no politicians or cops care to bust them. In my state they had raid on the regular for about 4 years, then nothing! I think it depends on whether a politician wants to make their reputation at our expense. So as long as we keep it cute or keep it on mute, we can dodge being picked for harassment and closure.

It depends on the state or actually maybe the county.

The raids in nyc take place without you even knowing. Unless its a federal bust, the local pd comes in and works with the club to arrest or question whoever is on their list. From what I understood at the orientation, one of the clubs known for frequent raids in nyc on this forum works with the local pd to arrest their own workers if you say the wrong thing on the floor. I had a customer tell me to "be careful 'out there'(the floor)" one time which I thought was alluding to that. At another club, I was present while the local pd questioned girls on their list in the office, while others were cashing in their funny money. You can read news of local pd arresting dancers and customers for just saying the wrong thing. It's my understanding that other city's busts are a lot more dramatic. I worked at another club in ca where a few were arrested in a day I was off. A customer told me this, so it must have been noticeable. However, the entire club wasnt shut down, and only the dancers in question taken in. I haven't been in the midst of a dramatic one yet. Cross my fingers.

I was just reading about a pastor in Wisconsin trying to shut down a pole fitness studio in Wisconsin...LOL. I’m sorry that’s not funny, but it shows how controlling he is. It’s all about power and control.

Having a sex crime on your record is big deal and it’s something I’ve always been justifiable paranoid about. I was going to travel up there is there any place I should avoid specifically right now.

im sorry. There are crazy people perpetuating actual sexually abuse and there’s no justice; however, we are persecuted like we are child molesters!

Ive always danced in smaller clubs because of this fear.

I have been in a raid. It has to do with the county that your club is in wanting to take action in/against whatever club. For a raid to happen there needs to be significant crime going on there, typically.

You can have LE show up to write tickets without having a full on raid and this is more common but equally damaging. In my county if you get a ticket you’re suspended from working in the county for 30 days, and you have to appear in court to receive a fine, just for your first offense. You can also be taken to jail if you have more than one offense at a time. In my county you can likely have your first offense dropped if you have no criminal record, and you can also be formally charged, each charge you can receive appears as ‘Adult Cabaret Violation: [whatever it was, example: ‘Nude in Undesignated Space’].”

In Florida raids happen usually due to the police department not getting their tip out from the club. Or at the very least, it feels that way because there are clubs that are openly whore houses such as Tootsies and they never get raided. Like come on! That club should’ve been shut down a long time ago.
I feel like in south Florida, it’s the smaller/ less known clubs, like wonderland and pink pony that get raided the most. Also clubs that have shady crap going on, like booby trap or cheetah. I’ve never been to booby trap but heard that they have showers in VIP rooms. And as soon as I heard that, I decided to not set foot in it. Like why do you need to shower in the room??
Oh, and also, in Florida they tend to happen on Friday and Saturday nights.

You know, I’ve tried debating them. I was raised Mennonite, and practically had a Bible plastered to my face for the first 18 years of my life, so pointing out where they’re incorrect about what Scripture says or where they’re shown to be hypocritical and in defiance of what they supposedly hold so near and dear to them is quite easy… I can often tell them verse and chapter. But the end result is always the same… they simply deflect and shift the goal posts.
The most recent was actually some thumpers outside the club telling us that Jesus would never be seen in our company. But when I asked them what sort of woman the Bible described Mary Magdalene as being, they all drew a blank.
It would be almost laughable if these people didn’t wield so much power and influence.

Funny. I’ve been wanting to take a debate class, so I could debate people in real life. I realized most people don’t respond to reason. It’s all about what we feel is true. Honestly, I have my belief system that people aren’t going to talk me out of. Also, I’m very spiritual, so I’ve read the Bible a lot and I really like the phrase, “he without sin can cast the first stone.” That’s a fun verse to quote.

Ah, yes. John 8:7 - “He that is without sin, let him first cast a stone at her”. I may have brought that one up once or twice, but again, they always deflect somehow.
