    Default Creating your character?

Hi, all! I've been at this dancing thing for quite a while now. I'm also earning a PhD, and have 3 little ones. My undergrad is engineering, PhD is bio. I don't have much time outside of those things, so I don't know how to create a believable in club persona. People lose interest if they know I am going for advanced education, sometimes, because it's intimidating or too real I guess. I need help! I want to be a fantasy!

I feel ya there, I don't tell them the truth cause I find men in general don't want the stripper to be smarter than them (though a select few customers will love it if you can figure out who they are - usually very successful guys who aren't intimidated).

You don't need to create an actual 'character' but just practice doing 2 things:

    1) Have some small lies to common questions ready. Say you're going for nursing, psychology, interior design.... anything less hard science-y. For fun, you go to the clubs/house parties, go shopping with friends, etc. Maybe pick a hobby of some kind to tell them. None of this has to be true, just know a little about it so it's believable.

    2) Redirect the convo back to him. I usually rattle off those things kinda vaguely & then say "What do YOU like to do?" and whatever he answers is the most interesting thing in the world. Ask open-ended questions so he keeps talking about him. Always be looking for a cute segue into selling a dance/room.

My ultimate goal, besides selling them, is to have them say "Gosh I've been sitting with you for an hour and you know all about me, but I don't know anything about you!" Keeps burnout/privacy invasion feeling away for me, and also then I can pull "Oh well I guess we should get another VIP so we can hang out some more!"
"People jack off with the left hand and point with the right."

"You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave."

Just tell customers you're in school--if they ask. Let them assume you're an undergrad. They don't need to know you're getting advanced degrees.

Besides, most guys either 1. won't be interested in your education or 2. won't believe you if you tell them the truth.

^ I wish they'd let it go at that! They always follow it up with "what's your major?"

^^^ tell me about it! I have a very unsexy major too. I usually say I’m doing a yoga teacher training or I’m in nursing school. Any traditionally female non threatening occupation.

I would just say that my major is Communications or Renaissance Art history. Guys usually are happy with those majors because it is like you are educated but not too educated
