Default 15 years of webcam photos and I feel like an impostor

So I am working my way back into camming full-time again like my old me 10 to 16 hours a day.

I am updating my galleries and Ia m going through my photos and I am looking at them all and it's like damn who is that person. we got me skinny 18 to 25 then 26 to 33 where the weight just piled on all because of these stupid meds.

do I keep uploading my pics and hope they guys appreciate the years and 1,000s of photos I have of myself over the years or should I invest in some new me make over so that I can feel like I can go online and portray my authentic self?

I have no desire to build a website of my content I done and fail that twice already.

at most I will have a blog, with a gallery and links to the cam sites I work. keep it one-page thing and simple. that's honestly what I should have done from the start. oh well, you live and learn, make mistakes and hopefully learn again.

I am happy to upload all my content in the fan clubs from the cam sites I work and upload my videos on them and xvideos as well. These days there are way too many content management platforms out the I am just trying to keep it simple and nonstressful.

I kind of understand where you're coming from. I started young camming too (20) and in that time period I've gone from 117 to 95 back up to 110 (which i maintained for years) and then gained 27lbs seemingly overnight due to medication and stress (137) and now I'm down to 120. My makeup and hair have changed drastically in that time as well. What I've done is kept the content that sells well (or that I know I can sell), recreated some dated content, and trashed anything that didn't fit the "now". The real question is what's going to make you happiest? is starting from scratch going to be emotionally and financially the most worth while, or is uploading the content you already have and profiting off of it better? maybe mix it up and do a bit of both.

I was definitely super insecure about my pics.

I am going to move forward with my blog with a few pages just to promote when I am online and direct it to places that ethically pay me. as for my websites out there oh well it was a learning experience.

Now I gotta figure out a plan of losing weight. 18 to 33 went from 100lbs to 150lbs. some of it happened in a very period of time.

i will add more, I am just at the point where I am tired of seeing my bipolar side effect body. everytime I get online and IA m constantly reminded of my trauma the the beautiful life I Am told I am suppose to be living.

I say go with what feels right to you. If you’re constantly going to be worried about the incongruency then it might be worth at least having the new pictures so that you can use them.

Also good for you it sounds like you’re making the same transition back like I have.

Just keep going with what FEELS right!!

Yea last night I was deep in some feels about it.

but now I am looking at it as I am being authentic as I can. I am not a plastic barbie porn star. I am the real woman. who has lived life and who happens to be vulnerable online and because so much of is documented online sometimes it just this me hard.

there is a weight management program I want to try. even going on that program it will probably take about 90 days to see results from it.

Plus right now I am refocusing on rebuilding my credit and growing my savings adn moving to a better quality apartment. which means money and a good credit report will matter a lot.

I just want to be great again.

I feel the same, these guys are very triggering to me.. after so many years of trauma and abuse I have suffered at the hands of men.. just lil stupid questions start to erode me and depress me.. so in order to combat this kind of stress .. I am doing longer shifts 1 or 2 days in a row and taking a day off.. I think this will cut down on my stress and depression they are triggering.. I am not essentially stressed or depressed on the days I am not on cam..lol... so no reason to be like that 6 or 7 days a week for shorter shifts.. something to think about if anyone is going through this....
So basically it's 1 day on cam , 1 day off .. or 2 days on cam , 1 day off
if I work 7 hours or less then I have to work the next day... If I work 8+ hours I get the next day off.. it's all I can think about now so makes me stay longer..lol

me too. as a cam chica I have been down to 80 lbs and up to 125 and now somewhere in between on the higher end I think (I don't weight myself anymore, not a good indicator or health or shape). plus muscle weighs more than fat.

I sell videos from my lowest weight still, and as long as my cam pics for shows resemble my current size/shape I don't see a problem. Over years our bodies change, for everyone. Cammers and clients. It's not false advertising to sell vids when you looked different than you are now. As long as your pics for cam shows reflect your current appearance; ethically you're on point.

Don't delete the old pics and vids though, some dudes who are really into us like seeing us over the years. If they love your pics and vids from a few years ago because that era in your life suits their aesthetic; you still are you. Let them enjoy and know you're doing nothing wrong.

And if the weight gain was a result of meds that helped you, it's a win-win for both you and your clients who enjoy your company.

as a site owner I can attest that men are incredibly varied in tastes/predilections. When I'm not around one of my fav regs books a woman who is the exact opposite of me in every way. Petite in stature, voluptuous and a completely different ancestry.

and in general, real men (and women) aren't nearly as hard on us as we are on ourselves. what you see as not ideal in yourself is guaranteed perfect to some.

If you're building a new site I would def highlight the new stuff, particularly if you want to offer live shows. Just as anon wrote though, keep the older material as well.

Sell the older stuff as much as possible on every site.

Promote your camming with how you look currently. No one stays the same year after year. Older fans will accept how you look now cause they have aged and changed over the years too. New ones will appreciate how you look now. Nothing is worse than clicking on a pic & it be vastly different.
Men may find you more approachable & thus spend more money.

Now, some fans will have a certain image of you stuck in their head from the 1st time they saw you. Since I've been at this almost 20 years, I have no idea which year or decade that maybe from when they say that I have changed. Is that from 20 years ago or 10 years ago that they are fantasizing about me? I don't care, this is how I currently look. I don't expect to look like 30 when I first started, I look great for almost being 50.

Sometimes you have to give yourself a break & not have unrealistic expectations of your own image. People who try to look 20 years younger end up looking like freaks. Might be able to push for 5 years younger with botox & fillers but laugh lines come from laughing...

Self confidence is the most sexy thing a person can wear. And for those who come at you with unrealistic expectations, remember what they look like............. which is usually a 3 not a 10. Most have bald spot & a beer belly, so who are they to want Miss perfect.

There are 1000s of under 25 online but very few mature ladies aka LESS COMPETITION. Especially when Milf & Cougars are top selling categories in porn. In our 20s there is tons of competition, by the time we reach our 30s it has been cut in half. Roll up on 40 and older well very few and makes it easier to make money. There are plenty of men who want ladies their own age or even older than them in the camming market.
I see being older a good thing.

In our 20s we guessed at what men wanted at 40 plus we know what they want.

yup definitely gonna work on losing a few more pounds, and new hair, nails and wear my wrinkles proudly. but I could probably learn a little make up when I am online, something I can do in 30 minutes or less.

This is really mental masturbation. Guys dont care. If they love you they will love seeing how you have changed both from weight gain and loss and just changes you made yourself. Women are always changing hair styles, colour, makeup looks, body modifications, tattoos, piercings and style type. We love that stuff! that is why fashion mags are so successful! Embrace it all! Put it all out there! If someone calls you out on it that is because he is a troll who feels so shitty about his own ugly lonely life that he needs to troll to make himself feel bigger and better. Those trolls will show up regardless of what you do so dont mentally masturbate over finding some perfect solution to avoiding trolls!

Plus photos are a lot of work and money. The more you have the more you can post, share and use for promotion. I know so many "big" pornstars from the past that only worked as contract girls and now they're out on their own and they dont own any of their old content to use to promote them self on social media etc so they are basically starting from scratch! Content is king so keep that shit relevant by using it and dont stress on some extra weight or wrinkles! Your clients will love you for who are you are and were so share it with them!

Robert Jones Beauty Academy is a great place to learn makeup. $24.95 per month for however long you want to use the courses. It’s how I learned to not suck at makeup.

    Clients dig YOU
My weight has never been the same since I turned about 27
When I was camming, I learned that guys liked my sense of humor or other specific features...often my eyes or my lips.
I was self conscious about my body, but it did not bother the men in my room.
I began camming when I was 43. I had put on some weight and I did not like my pouches on my belly.
I still had men in my room.
It's not all about having a certain type of body...it's about you being an entertainer. At least that is what I learned.
My weight still goes up and down, I have some wrinkles and my hair changes a little every few years.
Don't let any of that stop you.
    Confidence is what sells.
Most cam sites have all the different categories for a reason...so their customers can find what they are looking for.
I haven't cammed for about 2 years, I was still doing well last time I was camming.
Your followers will stay loyal...I always remembered I'm an entertainer. Not everyone will be a fan...I stuck with it to see where I could find my fans.

I would take some screenshots or selfies of you now and mix them in with your other pics. That way you have pics that do reflect what you look like now and guys like the normal pics

It's a balance with how I look now, it's too normal from how I look when I cam.

I will start with the basics. get my hair done, then work cam, then get new lingerie and my nails done, and then hair again. then keep camming get on that weight loss program. so by December hits, there should be results that reflect more than match my online self, and not me just looking normal.

There was something I missed about camming was having that distance of me and myself make up on cam, that still felt normal but also didn't make me feel like I just woke up and went on cam. 30 minutes 1 hour prep time needs to happen so I can set a level of personal boundaries.

like it feels like my world is colliding with me on cam and me, not on cam.

There is the balance of I want to be myself but I also don't want to give away too much of myself at the same time.

You hit on something that is true for me too. While I put on my makeup, find an outfit and do my hair also getting ready for battle. My Dad used to call it putting on my war paint. It is exactly how I see it now, I am putting on my war paint & getting ready mentally for dealing for the battle..

Default Re: 15 years of webcam photos and I feel like an impostor

It's difficult having 2 separate identities.. .. I am frankly tired of being 2 different people...lol.. I cannot even get my Microsoft account right.. it's linked to my fake name instead of my real name!.. uggh.... just the constant juggling real social media with your persona is hard!.... Here's a real story: I have this so called friend from middle school..
(She is my sister's friend really).. we were dinner buddies once a month and then she moved further out and that ended... One night she was telling me how she was a stripper in her early twenties and I guess the look on my face was of shock and dismay...and she saw this!.. she has NO idea that I have been camming for 16 yrs and used to do porn because my REAL life and My Persona are 2 different people.. Even though I talk about real life stuff on cam.... what I am saying is that my real life is so conservative that she thought I was shocked about her stripper days..haha .. Now she is a big wig manager for a software company.

I am not always "NICE " But, I get the job done!
There's NO shame in this game, the only shame in this game is NOT getting the money!!
LIE like your life depends on it, cuz it kinda does!
