Default Civil lawsuit for exploitation of dancers

Does anyone know of a successful story of suing clubs that exploit the dancers. What evidence is needed and how does one get started?

Good luck with that. You'll need it.

There are some successful lawsuits, however. Thing is, the lawyers end up with more in their pockets than individual dancers.

I hear you. I’m sure that’s why most dancers just leave. It’s so hard to prove and then one has to have the resources to fight the legal battle while being out of work. I personally have just left clubs like that rather than battle it out with owners. The last club I left has reduced house fees after the girls left for greener pastures.

I feel like every time I see girls sue a club, they win. It usually ends up being a big class action thing that gets drawn out for several years.

If you're serious, I'd write down notes after work each night. Take photos of anything unethical - for example, signs posted in the DR with 'rules' that violate IC status.

This woman has an entire blog dedicated to it. Perhaps it may be of help.

The biggest problem we have is that we aren’t organized. Of course not, most of us put our energy that’s left over into our families or an exit strategy.

Thank you. We have a long road to go, but having this information available will help anyone who needs it.

Gosh, if I won the lottery I would take this on as a hobby...lol.
