I had something pretty bizarre happen to me on my shift last night. There are two girls who walk around on the floor selling massages to customers. Until last night, I never really gave them much thought or noticed/cared if they also sell dances. Once or twice in the past, I've had customers ask me for a massage on the floor when they saw other guys getting one, and I did so with no issues.
So, last night a high spending customer had already given me $400 for 30 minutes of just talking on the floor. Once time is up, he asks me for a massage for an additional $150 for 15 minutes. I start massaging him and a couple minutes in, one of the massage chicks directly interrupts and says "Um you can't do that. There are only two girls here who are designated massage girls and no one else is allowed to give them." I haven't worked at the club all that long so I wasn't sure if she was lying, though I admit it was a bizarre sounding rule. I didn't stop at her command lol and she then says "If you don't believe me you can ask management" to which I said "I plan to." I decided to stop the massage in case she was in fact telling the truth, and when I went to collect the money she had the audacity to say "you can't collect money for that." I said "I can collect money for my time" and snatched it. (It was only $40 because it was only a few minutes at this point). She then went on to say "I'm actually being really nice about this, you could get in huge trouble." I replied "I'll talk to management, if I did break a rule then I apologize. I do find it really strange though, aren't you allowed to do dances?" To which she flat out said "no." Later when I talked to the bouncer, he said she was full of shit and he had seen her do dances plenty of times. So, I told the house mom what she did (this is a small club where we're supposed to report things like this to management, obviously in a place like Vegas or something this petty BS would never fly). Apparently there are designated massage girls and dancers can't OFFER to give them, but it's ok to give them if asked. So the part about us not giving massages wasn't a total lie, but she was majorly exaggerating and stepping on my toes.
I just feel it was really rude of the girl to interrupt me directly, and then take over the massage the way she did. Even if I was breaking a rule, talking to a bouncer seems the obvious way to handle the situation rather than causing a scene. Anyways, the drama has passed, but I'm curious if it's worth telling the girl not to interrupt me again or if I should just let it go? I feel it might be a little silly to drag the drama into my next shift, but I didn't feel like causing a scene last night when there was still other money to be made. However what she did was so disrespectful...though to be fair, I already told management. I'm not sure if they said anything to her or not. She did directly take money out of my pocket by interrupting and I don't want her thinking I'll put up with it going forward.
