    Default My poor knees!

I need some serious help friends! My knees are so messed up. I know a lot of people say the bruising stops after a while, but I've been dancing consistently for four years and my knees have never stopped. I use arnica gel on them twice a day and take pills. It's to the point now where even if I take 5 consecutive days off then work one day, one of my knees is super messed up. What can I do? I even started wearing knee pads sometimes at work :/

Are you doing lots of pole/floor work? I refuse to do it because I'm not interested in the bruises or strain it puts on my body.

Yeah, what do you do other than pole or floor work?

I have weak knees. Luckily my club isn't stage heavy, I can make most of my money other ways. My legs are kinda thick so I get that not everyone wants to wear high socks but they can reduce floor impact quite a bit & will leave your knees less sore. My advice: Be intentional about cutting your knee-on-floor moves by half, put those other sexy moves that DONT involve your knees touching the floor at the top of your list. Wearing stripper boots that might give your knees some extra support too, less wobbling... I feel you though girl, I really do. This job just fucks us up lol.

I feel like doing more pole work helps a girl stay off her knees more, but pole is hard on the body in other ways.

Can you do other work in the meantime? Either vanilla or phone sex/cam?

I always wear knee pads. Our stage is granite and that shit fucks with my knees and I can't afford that if I want to have any longevity in this industry. I actually think knee pads can be cute, though.

Considering getting these bc they look like thigh highs but have built-in knee pads:https://poleactive.com/products/supe...ocks-knee-pads

I just twirl n sway to the music. Maybe lift a knee up every now n then. Sometimes I’ll squat, stretch, and lunge around the pole, especially when it’s slow and no ones payin attention or tipping. I like doing pole tricks but it’s exhasting so I listen to my body when I need a break.

I notice when a club doesn't have floor carpet, it hurts the knees. Does your club have carpet?

Re: knee pads -- any thoughts on these? https://www.discountdance.com//dance...SID=1309511237

I have been searching for some good boots that would come up over the knee and conceal knee pads, but there are not many stores in my area to choose from and I don't like the idea of purchasing boots online and having to send them back if they don't work. If only I could alter shoes like I alter my clothes! But maybe these could work without thigh-high boots.

I hardly got on my knees when I have worked. I always remain standing and pose a lot. I never liked knee worked. It’s doing too much. If the guy wants all that, he can pay for the cup or champagne room.

I got some cute knee pads on Etsy. I also take Osteo Bi-flex there some ingredient in there that really has helped because I took the off brand and it didn’t help. If you have the extra money I think it’s worth it.

Time off work is usually my go to, but not everyone can do that.

    Sorry love. Take care.
