    Default Millstream Inn (outside Bmore)

So- Went scouting at this club last week and had a decent time
    -girls friendly
    -staff professional

I am a retired dancer that is considering coming out of retirement, but have not worked at a club offering lap dances and private rooms.
bottom line I am in need of funds!
so my question is for all you lovely ladies....Anyone worked at the Millstream?
any thoughts/suggestions for a girl who has been out of the game since 2002?
Im white, slender, tits are not bad (little lower since I had two kids)-but whatever
this would be a temporary gig until I can do some more vanilla type work (love animals dogwalking/petsitting)
In truth: I love to dance. Love to chat with people
and certainly don't feel as naive as I did back in 1999 when I started out
what say you oh wise ones?

I went in and it seemed like a good mid tier club. I am not working there because of their unreal scheduling requirements. Also I found the manager I spoke to kind of condescending.

I talked to a women (Nancy I think) she was all business. I asked her if dancer were required to do lap dances and privates-she hesitated before saying no, so-i got the impression that-i I wanted to make decent $ there I would have to try that. Never done it. There are auditions tonight and I'm still trying to figure out if I should pull the trigger.. it reminds me a lot of my last club/cept it isn't full nude and they have the extras...I appreciate your response

One last question-what didn't you like about the scheduling? I saw there are lime-4 different times a dance can come...could you possibly fill me in on it?

This was months and months ago. I called and asked if I could work a flexible schedule (1 or 2x a week max). I spoke to a woman who said sure. I couldn't make it in until a few weeks later, it is a bit of a drive for me, but I went and wasted my whole night. I think it was the DJ who you see first when you walk in and that was the person who radioed a manager to come meet me. Whichever manager I spoke to immediately asked me where I drove from and then rudely asked if I was prepared to drive that every week. Like, why don't you mind your own fucking business about my driving, I'm here aren't I?? I said I already called and spoke to someone who said I could do a flexible schedule and he got this oh crap look and I guess they had very recently switched to a 4x per week requirement and employee status only. He said they also have mandatory shifts for event days. I was surprised he would absolutely not budge on scheduling, cause they don't exactly have stunners in there, but whatever. It's too bad because it seems like a decent mid tier place, which is my style usually. I've never had a problem with doing private dances. DC to my knowledge is the only city in the country where they aren't allowed.

I worked at Millstream for just under a year. I can honestly say I hate this club. It was the first ever club I started at so I didn't know any better but now that I have some experience as a dancer I can without a doubt say that while it's a decent place to visit (upscale, safe area, good food/ambiance) it is absolutely horrible to work as a dancer.

Let's start with the fact that they take $20 from you out of the $30 lapdances. On top of that, shift fees are anywhere from $30-$55 and they do up that fee by $20 for every hour (or every 15 minutes depending on what manager you spoke to) or so that you are late for your scheduled shift. On top of that, you pay taxes at the end of the night. And no, they don't give you a break on shift fees even if there were only 3 customers in the building all night.

Then, you only get 50% on the rooms even though you get less than that on the lapdances. So a half hour room is $300 (reasonable price imo) and you only get $150. 15 minutes is $180, you get 90, which is way overpriced imo. I have been told that the room prices used to be cheaper but management keeps hiking them up and up. It was really hard to sell dances, let alone rooms while I was there.

The thing about millstream is that they are not a strip club, and they don't see themselves that way. They are a "bar with dancers". Majority of the customers there are "just here to have a drink" especially since they don't charge a cover except on the weekends. I would have to kiss ass with a guy for 30 minutes just for him to buy one lapdance.

If you are white and thin you might do okay, but I still think you would be better off in a club that doesn't nickel and dime the dancers so hard. Keep in mind I am black so that also affected my experience there, no top earner while I worked there was black. Most of the shifts I worked there would be about 3-4 girls who would always make money off their regulars while the rest of us were lucky to leave with $100 after fees, taxes, and tip out to the bouncer and DJ. The problem is that the management/owner sees the girls as expendable. They actually don't care if you are selling dances and rooms as long as they collect that shift pay from you at the end of the night. I left this past spring after the owner gathered all the dancers in the dressing room and ranted on about how "you bitches are replaceable and you're only here to make my money" and how he'll "hire crackwhores if he needs to fire all of you". That was kinda the last straw for me. That along with the fact that by the time I had left they had become so strict it was absurd. I fully understand that MI is in the county, not the city so the rules and LAWS are different - I respect that. But security had become so uptight that it was affecting my money. Customers were merely APPROACHING the stage to tip, not behaving inappropriately in any way, and the bouncer would shine the flashlight on them and be breathing down their necks before they could even put the dollar in my garter. That turns customer off from tipping. I was yelled at for a customer putting a dollar in my knee high sock. I was yelled at for putting my hands over a customer's ears while sitting across from him at the bar. I could go and on.

Millstream Inn is a club that takes advantage of the fact that they are topless/pastie only to get over on girls who are new to dancing or are not comfortable dancing nude and don't know the kind of money they could and should be making. Turnover was extremely high when I was there, it wasn't unusual to have 4-5 new girls a week and all of them barely legal with no clue about the industry, thinking $75 was a "good night". They bank on the fact that a lot of girls won't just go 20 mins away into the city and dance at a nude club.

So, yeah. I could go on and on and on. Feel free to reply to me or PM me if you want to know more. But long story short: Don't work at this club.

Also yeah, there's absolutely no way to make any money here without doing rooms. There is no stage money. There is the tip walk but a chunk of that will go to your fees and tip outs. There is no lapdance money since the club takes more than half of it from you. The only way is private rooms. And the only way to sell rooms is to have reliable regulars. Good luck getting regulars if you're not white or Asian.

Wow, I had no idea about the dance cuts. What a rip-off. I turned down another place that had a 10/30 split, even with no house fee.

    Well....shit.
I guess that's a no for the Millstream.
Going to check out Royal Palace in DC. Made bank there back in the day.
I really don't think I'm down for lap dancing/but I don't mind full nudity and they allow floor work (my favorite) sooooooo...gonna scout that shit.
Read the reviews (50/50 in That area)-but...sense I could do alright there
Anyone have updates on Royal Palace come share if ya care/but I'm going today. Worth a night there to get a feel at least (no pun intended)

Gold Club doesn't require you to be fully nude. You might want to try there! It's outside of the city, but still technically Baltimore.

i'm thinking about auditioning at the Gold Club in a few weeks, are you allowed to be fully nude? Also curious about their scheduling/fees if you have any info. Thanks for anything you can pass along to me!!!
