Default Is this reasonable money for Los Angeles?

I know it's hard to say what anyone *should* be making anywhere, but I'd love to get an idea of where my earnings fall. I know people tend to say the money sucks in LA so I don't know if I'm making reasonable money for LA or if I should be looking for a different club. I've been stripping at a full nude juice bar in LA for two weeks, 7 shifts. My average is $333. Highest night was $570, lowest night was my first night ever stripping, $105. At the end of the night every night, we sign off on how much money the club paid out to us from our dance money, and we can see how much money the club paid out to everyone else. So I have no idea how the other girls are doing with tips and stuff, but from a quick peek I've seen that most nights I've been one of the top 2-3 earners in dance money. I hustle constantly and never chill on my phone or in the DR so I think that's why I'm doing reasonably well. That said though, I'm kinda disappointed with the money when I hear how much more money a lot of the girls on here are making. So yeah - is this reasonable money for Los Angeles? Or should I look for a club with better earning potential?

    Thanks!!

I can’t offer any insight but I see on here that LA isn’t the best for dancing, so it may not be reasonable to compare to earnings in other cities.

Keep up the good work though ... you can always travel elsewhere and see how you like it.

    Sometimes girls exaggerate.

You are doing perfectly fine for only a week or two of experience and it is still sort of the slower season. But it is not a bad idea to try out a different club or shift from time to time.

It sounds like you know what you are doing- it could be the location. Maybe another club could be better? LA is very expensive though, and in the long run I'd aim for higher #s. You just started though, give it time.

I dont think 333 is bad. I think the worst part of LA is the rent. making xxx amount of money is gr8 but when it all goes to living expenses It gets rough. I danced in la for a year and a half until I moved to vegas about 6 months ago. feel free to ask me anything, vent, or w/e :x)

Los angeles clubs are known to be bad.
I havent danced in a while bc i was working at a hostess club until i was doing my comedy full time. But now im trying to dance a little so i can continue to create content but in los angeles its sot of like based on luck. Everyday ive danced except when i worked in arcadia i made average 120-150 after tipping everyone that spoke to me bc all these clubs want tips. And then maybe once a week or every ten days id have a 600-900 night.

LA isn't the best, and some clubs are worse than others. I'm working dayshifts at a topless club at the moment. My average ranges from $150-$300, but with slow season sometimes I just barely passed $100.

I’ve never danced in California but I would not be happy with that amount at all. If you want to make money I say Florida all day!

Just not Miami or near the city.

I'm planning to move where there's more older white males to hustle.

I’m in LA for visiting. I’m thinking of moving here. But I was wanting to dance while visiting here for a week. Do you have any suggestions?

OP, what's your shift length? An average of $333 sounds decent for a newbie on a 4- hour shift, but if that's for 8 hours of work, I'd be x_x personally.

You have to look at it this way.

LA County has a lot of strip clubs, so the money thins out. Also, being in California, the cost-of-living and taxation is high and the job market for the regular Joes is not good. Southern California is predominantly Hispanic - mostly Mexicans. And many are moving out of the area recent times. So these factors and other trends are effecting you one way or another.

I am real. Most of my money comes from tips and I'm usually busy my whole shift.

City of Industry is known as the place to go to for extras, especially Spearmint Rhino. A lot of those places are basically brothels. If she's getting tipped for services it makes sense.

Let's not play the game of "is this stripperweb user a troll or doing extras?"... there's really no point in speculating and / or shaming.

    Back to the OP please.

Not trying to come across as shaming. I just wanted to give honest information. I'm from L.A. and know a lot of girls are having a hard time in the city. If someone reads this thread looking for a better work option they should know what they're getting into instead of seeing stars in their eyes. It's happened to me many times. I'm sure the poster is real and it makes sense. Not trying to start an argument. Just wanted to explain.

A lot of our dancers found better money doing private party dancing. Just like in the clubs the nightly take can vary significantly from making <$100 to nights making $2,000+. Of course those are the extremes and most nights range between $400-$700. Many of our girls work clubs or other jobs during the week and work private parties on Friday and Saturday night when it is the busiest.

There are benefits and disadvantages to doing private parties. The advantage is not having to deal with club and owner BS and on average make more money. The disadvantage is security. Although we never had any serious issue with security, many girls hire a driver who offer security and transportation to and from shows. Drivers on average get 20% of the nights take. The numbers above are after driver fees, just to clarify and keep it in perspective.
