Default Getting started in Ontario, Canada. Some questions/tips?

    Hey!

I’m new here and I’m interested in getting into stripping but obviously it’s pretty overwhelming when you’re just starting. I’ve read through a bunch of threads and I’m still going, but some concerns - like information about specific clubs - it seems to be a bit outdated or reviews are mixed.

About me: I am 24, mixed race but mostly black (skin on the lighter side not very dark), very tiny (5’2 115lbs), a bit shy and more cute (I look 19, so barely legal kinda appearance lol), no tattoos, never wear makeup/fake nails etc, BUT I’m very confident in my looks and have always thought I am wasting my 20’s not using them to my advantage lol! And I still look good despite not wearing makeup. I have no problem doing some winged eyeliner, mascara, and lipstick.

First, I’m looking for a place to get started. I live in Durham (east of Scarborough, Pickering etc) and don’t want to strip close to home (obviously) and don’t mind a bit of travel. I’m looking at Mississauga (close enough, no license) but I’m hearing about “extras”. I don’t mind being touched, grinding, but will not go as far as blowjobs/escorting. Anywhere else that’s around 45 - 60 mins travel time isn’t an issue. Any suggestions? And insight as to what the audition process might be like? What did you wear to the audition?

I wouldn’t mind Vaughan but I’d need a license. The “record” thing bothers me more than the cost. If you have a license, has it affected anything? Do vulnerable sector checks still come back okay? I have worked with the elderly previously and have needed them before, so I’m worried about doors if mighf close in the future.

I also don’t mind working during the day/early evening. I’m done my full time job early in the afternoon and I work Mon-Fri only.

I’m not a great dancer and can’t twerk or anything lol, but can look sexy and I think I could give a have decent lap dance. And I know you’re not really on the pole, but I used to love practicing pole moves when I was younger, ALWAYS wanted a pole in my house, and would love to do it as a hobby. I enjoy it.

Any tips/suggestions on getting started? I have a lot more questions that I’ve kind of forgotten but just want to get an idea based on my appearance/personality especially in regards to a location that might be fitting. Here is a picture from maybe 2 years ago from a wedding. My boobs have grown since then, and despite the front view I do have an ass lol. But otherwise look more of less the same and hopefully it gives a good idea of my size/look.

    Thank you!

I would not start in Mississauga unless you’re comfortable with extras. The only non extras club there is Pure Gold and it’s kind of hit or miss.

Whiskeys in Vaughn will let you work one weekend without a licence if you want to try it out. Club Pro is an extras club. The licence will not affect anything because they’re issued by the municipality, not federally or provincially. Loads of strippers become teachers, nurses, social workers or other workers required to do a vulnerable sector check.

Thank you! I did some searching after posting and Pure Gold seemed decent and I know they hire dark girls. I’ve heard good things about Whiskeys too, and didn’t know I could try out without a license so thank you for that.

I would of course call ahead, but do you know what the audition process is like for either?

And thanks again for the response.

When I worked at Whiskeys I literally just showed up, there was no actual audition, you just fill out some forms. Since you're new though I would probably call the club ahead of time. They seemed to have a good variety of girls in regards to skin tones and body types so I wouldn't see you having a problem there.

I haven't worked Pure Gold but at their sister club Solid Gold in Burlington I also just showed up and got hired on the spot.

Auditions aren’t really a thing here in Ontario except for at the Brass Rail.

You should just call and ask what their hiring process is and what ID you need.
