Default Sex Blogging - Yay or Nay? Most importantly is it still lucrative?

My identity would stay secret from my online persona. Everything would be anonymous naturally, and I might exaggerate details. "Diaries of a Camgirl" kind of thing. Nothing too fancy, just some humorous stories and wacky trends.

On a side note, I'm looking at starting a cupcake and confections storefront/wi-fi cafe in my spare time

Wondering what would be more lucrative.

I think it really depends on a few different things..
Blogging requires little to no capital to get started, while the other I'm guessing would cost a decent amount of money for startup. And how soon you're wanting to see a profit and if you're going to hire employees to your storefront etc.
But on the other hand, it might be easier to get customers to your storefront than it would be to get enough traffic directed to your blog that would be able to see your ads that you place on the site, and whether you do cost per click or cost per impression. You could also try some affiliate marketing with your blogs to throw in more opportunities for income. I know some people/places will pay blogs for a guest article on their site as well.
I think it really just depends on your skillset and if you can bring in a good amount of traffic without having to pay too much, and how much money you're willing to invest upfront! And what you would have more fun doing cause that makes a world of difference!

I've been working on my own online store, and it's been harder to bring in traffic than I thought. But then some people master it right away and have no problem bringing in traffic. If you're thinking about blogging you might want to look into several different ways to bring in traffic, organic and paid.

I found some articles about adult blogs you could probably incorporate some of the info into a cam girl blog:
    https://www.onblastblog.com/how-to-m...an-adult-blog/
    https://www.quora.com/How-do-I-start...nd-monetize-it

I also found some camming blogs for references and ideas:
https://www.webcammodelingjobsnow.com/ They promote the hell out of chaturbate with affiliate links to sign up for them to make their money.
http://ocamgirl.com/ They have toy and site reviews. Some toys I believe have affiliate links as well.
http://www.camgirltoolbox.com/ <---- Lovense definitely has ads an affiliate program

Basically I'd look into as many affiliate programs as you can related to camming and make sure to put your links in a great number of blog posts. Or you could have a section of your blog specifically for reviews of things related to camming like sites and toys, and possibly amazon affiliate programs? I'm guessing they are adult friendly. Just like all these blogs in other niches do, they post really useful content but always make sure to put their affiliate links in their posts somewhere.

Blogging is not instant cash. it's a long haul thing you have to build content people are looking for, and also create content that solves a problem, then the appropriate offers that will make you money.

What's lucrative from blogging is from people who have been doing it consistently daily for more then 2 years. I've been following and attending enough blogging conferences to know that's what works for them.

I am freelance paid writer for a blog, and sometimes the writing process can be stressful. Then I plan to make my own personal blogs because I know they will enhance my already existing brand. but it mostly because I am building up a youtube channel.

These days you have to make content daily. if you want to get into the already crowded blogging market place.

For traffic. It will most likely be a little harder to bring in traffic than a blog in a different niche since most of society is still so anti-adult and a lot of sites that people would normally use for traffic like FB Ads aren't adult friendly.

Reddit...Tumblr...Quora..any adult sites you can find and etc. Posting useful comments with a link to your blog that relate to the topic on other sites is really great for organic/free traffic.

Idk about the adult industry side of blogging as much but from the vanilla standpoint I would recommend networking as much as you can. Ad clicks, paid ads, etc is not the only way to make money. Use your blog to showcase your writing skills for other paid opportunities. For example, an adult themed site may offer paid opportunities after seeing your work. My writing has been vanilla but I have been able to collaborate with some really big companies and even obtain contracts for content creation. Freelance writer/blogger has been one of my many hats over the years. Probably one of the few “side gigs” that I always do consistently and make decent money at. As you would with your camming, create a professional twitter, IG, etc for your blog. As you gain readership and traffic, you can still get paid if you go about it the right way.

Thanks so much guys!! These are amazing resources, I appreciate them so much. Glad to see it can still be worthwhile. I do remember that the blogging thing is a matter of slowly gaining an audience which leads to the $$$ - you need to be in it for the long haul and stay fairly consistent. I'd have to eke out some extra time right now for a later passive income, I could certainly see myself doing that if I kept my posts reasonably short, but fascinating!

it took me forever to find it https://billionaireblogclub.com/blog/

There are hundreds or more blogging how to communities, and conferences and everything in between online. People are making money from all income levels from it. it's really a matter of if you are doing it stick it with.

that's my biggest annoying mistake I made when I had my camgirlhandbook it was making money and I killed it. now I gotta make a new one. camgirlhandbook was online from like 2008 til about 2010 or something it was picking up some serious stream and bringing me $500 a month. with very little effort.

Now Yes I know I've learned from my mistakes and I try not to look back because the past is gone I don't live there anymore. but now with blogging It's one of things if you are going to do it do it so its making you money. and keep it around til it's in your retirement plan

Smart blogging or pro blogger he talks about how you can leave your blog in your will. so now having a blog can be some type of legacy income estate planning.

    Short answer: Yes.

Search engine traffic is organic and the best traffic you can have.

A few years ago I started a fetish blog in my niche and all I did was make about 30 posts and let it sit for a long time, until I just let the domain expire. I didn't think it was doing anything for me. ( I also didn't know what I was doing - just writing on my fetish topic and posting )

I've gotten more serious recently about stats, traffic, etc now with my members site - I went on google analytics recently to look at all my conversions and where they come from. Come to find out my little lazy fetish blog brought me 3 sales. It's not a lot - but imagine if I had scaled it up and actually put effort into it.

So starting and up-keeping a new blog is one of my main goals for 2019.

The mainstream industry is still pushing make money blogging . the amount of courses and online communities out there for it are pretty much over saturated but it's not stopping people from making money in it.

The internet runs on search, people want information fast, the fastest way to get it is to sell a product or service or some online membership course. The internet pretty much operate in what 3 ways with non adult versions and adult versions of it.

Yes, there's money in blogging but it takes awhile to build up the passive income because it takes a lot of promotion and time for your blog to build up roots with the search engines. Google ranks sites based on how old the site is, how many people search for it, how many other sites link up to it, etc. and the algorithms change all the time. You can try and cheat the system by purchasing black market promotion or just be the turtle by contributing daily/weekly content to your blog over the long haul. In a couple of years you'll make a bit of pocket change without much effort. I have a few blogs about a few niche vanilla subjects and they make around $50-$100 a month with Google Adsense ads. I really didn't start them with the intent of making money, it sort of just happened and I didn't even use WordPress, I just used blogger.

Hello Ladies, I have a blog about the shows I experience in the camming world. I have been doing it for a year now and its just starting to gain followers. I do promote all of my posts on my Twitter page and let some of my regulars know about it and to tell their friends about it. Its hasn't made me any real money yet, but I'm hopeful that it will soon.
