"He said that he looked for women on SeekingArrangement and advertised himself on Tinder as a “sugar daddy” — his profile urged women to “swipe right if looking to be spoiled” — solely because he thought it was a good way to meet women for non-transactional hookups."
Yeah, ok!
There's lots of scammers on that site playing chics. Should be called SeekingScammers.
Seekingarrangements is full of salt daddies, using the SD thing to attract naive women who are new to the sugar world. These guys know damn well what they're doing, pretending to be a sugar daddy, making all these false promises, and that's not cool. Ladies, never trust Paypal or any virtual payment system with strangers. It can easily be reversed or not sent at all. Cash is king. Money upfront or no go.
Everytime I see the name of that website I want to claw my eyes out. I feel so bad for all the girls getting at best ripped off.
"There are different kinds of darkness. There is darkness that frightens, the darkness that soothes, the darkness that is restful. There is the darkness of lovers, and the darkness of assassins. It becomes what the bearer wishes it to be, needs it to be. It is not wholly bad or good."

Are there any legit sites to find a sugar daddy?

Yup.
I learned the hard way that some of these guys are deeply sick in the head and don't feel bad about being abusive or dishonest. Most of them have a "I went this far, how much further can I take it?" attitude. It's not always malicious stuff but in some cases they will upset and cheat you.
IMO if you really really want a SD type of arrangement, bring it up often enough when you date around to where guys completely understand that is something you care about. I hope I'm not jacking the thread. But you have to be very clear and direct.
