Angry Logitech C922 Pro Recent Update

My computer updated my C922 Pro logitech driver and now it will not save my settings between programs. I change the white balance, click save, close out the logitech dashboard, and open up my camera and they are reset back to default! I have deleted the new drivers, downloaded the old version, reinstalled, and still the same result. I also have the C920, which has been completely unaffected. Anyone else having this same issue? Were you able to resolve it? Redoing the settings I customize every single time I open up the cam is driving me crazy and a huge waste of time.

I have the c920 and it has never saved my white balance settings between opening and closing it. I keep the settings pinned to my toolbar at the bottom so I can adjust the white balance as the light changes since it's too pale on auto.

My logitech software no longer shows the image when I play back a video I record through it...no idea why.

I've dug a little deeper and think that a windows update this morning is the culprit. I have auto-update turned off for Logitech. I have two logitech cameras connected, one C920 and one C922.

Up until today, I had two drivers downloaded from Logitech's website installed to control each, LogiCamSettings_1.1.87.0 for the C922 and lws280 for the C920.

Basically, I could control each webcam to change the white balance or other settings (auto-focus, saturation, etc.), click save, close, and then use the webcams from program to program (Skype, SM Broadcast, the native Windows 10 Camera app, etc). I did not have to keep either of the control panels open while I worked, however I would have to go through this every single time I restarted the computer.

Today, when I opened my windows camera app, changed the settings to what I needed using the Logitech control panel for each camera, saved, closed the camera control panels, then closed the windows 10 camera app, anywhere I would open the cameras (skype, smbroadcast, windows 10 camera app, etc.), the new camera settings were unsaved for the C922 and auto-white balance was turned back on!

I deleted the drivers and reinstalled them from Logitech. The problem persisted. I downloaded various programs with the same issue, third party and from Logitech.

I have concluded that Logitech Capture_1.0.395 is what will work best for my current setup and to not open the Windows 10 camera app any longer. Capture has a pretty nice setup to record with both cameras at the same time, PIP, and has still photos, and advanced camera control panels, which will be great for recording clips and customs...even though I still favor the native windows app

My main issue was that I use the Windows 10 camera app to do my filming and take pictures. After the update this morning, it will only display the C922 in default mode. I am going to submit something to windows support and see what they say and if there might be a fix they can issue with the next update or if there are some new settings somewhere that can be set globally for the settings to remain in the native camera app.

hopefully this info helps for someone else encountering the same issue
