    Default Baby Dancer Body Worries

    Hey all,

I've considered dancing for a long time now, and I'm finally ready to give it a shot. I have experience in sales so I'm not concerned about talking with customers and being friendly, etc. I am worried about my body. I'm 5'6 and weigh 208, but I don't think many could guess that because I carry my weight well. Im curvy with an hourglass shape, and bigger boobs. My thighs are thick, but my butt isnt the biggest. I don't really have rolls when I stand up straight, a bit of a tummy for sure but its only really noticeable from the side. I work out 6x/week, so if you ladies think I should hit the gym for a few more months before stepping on the stage, I'm prepared for that. I'm also sort of nervous about the shoes, I love high heels but I wonder if customers would be intimidated by me being 6ft in my shoes. thanks for any help!

Definitely tone up. BBW can get hired as long as you look proportionate & the manager doesn't have some sort of skinny girl fetish.

thanks for the reply! regardless if I start now or put it off I'll keep it up at the gym, its one of my favorite places to be lol. i've lost 45lbs so far. Theres a club in my area that's apparently very receptive to hiring thicker girls so im thinking ill try them in a month or so. I still haven't ordered my shoes and want to get used to walking/dancing in them, before auditioning.

Do an amateur night in your area to get your feet wet. Congrats on the weight loss!

Practice walking in your shoes. Nothing sadder than a newb tripping all over the place.
