    Default are long nails necessary?

i prefer to keep mine short, because i play guitar and i like to masturbate using my hands... i can't imagine trying to do those things with the stiletto nails! i do like to keep my nails clean though.

do you or anyone you know do well with short nails? press-ons?

    thanks!

As a male, it doesn't make any difference to me.

You could always use imPress nails, they are actually quite good!
They don't come super long though, but they might be what you're looking for. Easy on, easy off!

Honestly I never got into long nails. They're not necessary to do well. I don't think that any man will be turned off if you don't have long nails. I've tried the fake press on ones before but had a problem with my real nails getting flaky and peeling underneath the fake nails. It got too annoying dealing with that so I gave up. I keep my nails short and just put pretty colored nail polish on them. I don't think that something like fingernail length will have a major impact on business.

No, it doesn't matter as long as you're not walking around with your nails looking gross or unkept.

I thought the same thing- I used to keep my nails on my hands and feet painted all the time, but they were never really that long

Just keep them even, nicely buffed if unpolished, and filled-in if polished. Length doesn't really matter. The longer they are, the more easily they break or get caught on clothing and damage it.

I keep a tiny bit of length on my nails when I am dancing, but I cut pretty much every possible corner I can on upkeep. I do them myself, a single solid colour if painted, and I just keep filling in the chipped spots with polish until I am ready for a new colour. In normal light the chips and 'patches' are clear to see, but in the darkness of the club, as long as the paint job looks solid it's no problem.

I keep mine short too, but do sometimes paint them silver. I think the light that flashed off them give the illusion of length... maybe? Anyhow, I have had some GREAT nights $$$ wise with short, plain nails. No one cares. Well maybe one or two guys will notice if you do have a nice mani/pedi... but most don't give a fuuuuck.

I seem to be doing alright with short nails. My vanilla job doesn't really accommodate long nails. I might be operating heavy machinery, repairing heavy trucks and machinery, welding, doing regular labor jobs, etc. No way am I fucking around with trying to keep long nails intact in the wake of all of that.

I've yet to have anyone comment on my nails.

Short nails are definitely fine in the club. As others have said, the important part is that they are clean and groomed.

That being said you'd be surprised what you can do with long-ass nails, most of the "they get in the way" thing is just assumed by people who haven't had them. Like as long as you aren't doing daytime activities where you're slamming your hands into things that might break them, they'll be fine.

I have not used the long nails ever, it does not go with my personality but I always paint them and I have them clean. I do everything at home like cleaning, cooking etc ... it's not a good idea to wear long nails

Haha that was me trying to put my shoes back on the first time I had tips...

Just use the sides of your fingers, rather than trying to grab the zipper with the tips. Avoid trying to use your nails as "tools" and they'll last a really long time.

Used to do my nails escorting because it mattered or when I wanted to feel glam when I was dating, but only for stripping...nope. Long acrylic nails harbor so much bacteria..Starbucks and other food chains will make you remove them for that very reason. Guys don't really notice nails in the pitch black dark anyways plus it's not worth the money upkeep anyways.
