Can that damage it? I was half asleep and scratched it cuz it was itchy now I'm paranoid I did something, it's not even a week yet since I got it.. I've noticed a tiny bit of peeling on it now

How big a scratch are we talking?
I have one on my flank that got a bit dinged-up during the initial healing process. I got it done while I was dancing & went in to work the following week with it covered, but that still irritated it enough to have a few bits of the scab chip off prematurely. I notice the spots more because I know where they are, but they are super tiny and could just as easily be blamed on a goof made by the artist if anyone pointed them out.
Some peeling is to be expected as the skin heals, just don't pull at anything to come off before it's ready and you should be fine. When it itches, gently slap at it instead of using your nails.
Thank you! It seems to be fine now other than tiny bits of ink coming off, it doesn't itch anymore either. Its been 10 days and when I got it done the artist said it will feel like a tiny sunburn and it may puss a bit. But I never got that other than slight itching. Is that normal? I thought I should feel a bit of pain after getting needles in me but nothing. My friend said I must have a good immune system then.. lol

It sounds like you're doing just fine! I got four (five someday, if you count the coverup I want for the flank tattoo lol) and once the first one was finished, I was surprised to find that it didn't hurt once the work was complete and it was left alone. Just itched like mad for the first 10days or so; no real lingering discomfort as long as I didn't mess with it or catch it on anything. That was my experience for all of the subsequent ones, too.
