    Default Tips from veterans

I've been in this industry for a little over four years now, and there's so much more I need to learn. I've learned a lot the hard way like most cammers do; through experience.

Now I'm ready to take all I've learned and go hard with clips and camming.
We have a rare opportunity to be able to jump the financial totem pole from the comfort of our own homes if do this right and if we work SMART.

There are so many Vets in this forum, and as humble as you are, you have so much experience and have been able to make a great career in this.

I'm wondering what your tips would be to those really ready to take camming seriously and make it into a long term career.

Vet to me could be anyone who's been doing this consistently as main income for 5+ years, but of course that definition could be changed depending on everyone's own personal experience and level of success.

I'm nowhere near a vet in my own eyes, but my tips would be to:

    1. Take this seriously. You can make serious money. When you sign up to cam, be ready to be consistent, to truly work, and to put in the hours. Don't take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.

    2. Don't do anything you aren't comfortable with. There are too many potential customers out there to compromise yourself over a quick buck.

    3. Optimization. Be smart about your work. Record your shows and sell them as clips, post your cammodels link everywhere. You need passive income in order to have a proper work/life balance. You should not be working hard until burnout every single day of your life.

I'm in the same position as you re clips. I've been camming 7 years now but only just really come arpund to the realisation of how much capital you're adding to your career with clips! My tips are:

    - Get advice from people who are already successfully doing what you want to do. Paying for this advice is well worth it.

    - read, watch clips, BUY clips and cam shows and calls, research AS MUCH as you can. Study those you wish to emulate. But don't copy!

    - set boundaries and write them on a list you can have next to you when you work. Before i ever started i knew there were a couple of things that would be hard no, and a couple i would consider only in certain circumstances. Having a list will give you strength when you feel pressured by a customer or are desperate for money.

    - never let bad feedback, blackmail, or any sort of threat or bad behaviour from customers deter you from doing whatever the fuck you want. End the show if you need to, ignore the email if you want to, say no when something isn't ok. It's ok to ignore them completely too.

    - have multiple streams of income, but master one or two first.

Everything above is valuable info. I would add theese:
    - Don't compare yourself with other models. Look for inspiration, to see what's the trend and so on, but don't copy or compare! Copying is gross, comparing yourself will bring your mood down. The grass is always greener on the other side. And it's green because they work to keep it green. If they'd look at other girls grass, their grass would dry too.
    - All the top models have worked really hard. Only 10% maybe, were lucky to bank from first. The rest may have YEARS behind of failure, before they make it.
    - If something doesn't work for you, don't give up. Reinvent yourself, change your schedule, your outfits, your style, your attitude. When you say you tried everything, I assure you there must be something new to try.
    - Don't harras other models, especially if they do better than you. Don't try to steal their customers. Their customers have chosen THEM, they won't come to you, just because you try to put them down. You will look pathetic. Work your ass off and make your own name in the industry, there is place for everyone. They have worked hard for where they are, so you should do.
EARN your place on the first page, don't expect it to fall in your lap just because you think you're pretty and have a decent equipment.
    - Don't sell yourself cheap. Don't set outrageous prices from the begining either, but don't sell yourself cheap, no matter how desperate you are.
    - You make your own money. Don't blame anyone for your faliure, you are the only one responsible (Took me more than 6 years to realise that I was the only one shooting myself in the foot, by working only 4-6 hours a day. Once I started putting the hours, the miracles started to happen). If you work on live streaming sites, don't expect to stay 3-4 hours online and bank. It won't happen, unless you are a top model who has a big fanbase. If you're new (or have a few years but didn't do really well so far), you must work and stay online at least 8 hours.

    - Don't fall in the new model mirage trap! As a new model, everyone will jump on you, because you're fresh meat. You will probably bank in just a few hours. You will probably think that camming is easy and you will only stream a few hours here and there, thinking money will fall in your lap. Then you will suddenly have an empty room and start wondering what is wrong with you. All of theese are normal. Nothing wrong with you. Just WORK. LONG hours. Fixed schedule, so members can find you. Members love routine, they come back from work (or have their lunch break) at hour X, they come in your room for a jerk off, at hour Y, then they go and continue their day. In 2-3 months you will bank for sure.
You need to be seen and make yourself a name on the site, you will have to grind for the first page.

Conclusion. Work doesn't forgive anyone. If you see a model making 5 figures a month efortlessly, have in mind that, that model has months, or even YEARS of hard work, sacrifice (giving up on going to culb, mall, coffee at starbucks and other shit), failure and persistence in not giving up. All succesful models are like icebergs. You only see the top of the iceberg. Don't compare your behind de scenes, with someone else's highlight reel. EVER.
Take the succesful models as an example, don't hate them or see them as an enemy who takes your clients. Earn your place among the hated ))))

That was a beautiful post Cutie. The only thing I will add is that unless you are a group show gal (whether MFC/CB or gold shows) it is ok to be selective with your clients. You can say no or block some dipshit. That little bit of money is not worth it in the long run. Cultivate the type of customer YOU want.

Fab advice ladies! I agree about putting in the hours. You will not bank in just a few hours consistently if you haven't built up a fanbase of regulars!

Keeping a schedule has also really helped me! It was hard for me to do at first, but now I see it's paying off! Put the work, heart, and time in and it will pay off!

I need a little Cutie on my shoulder whispering in my ear all day, a little life coach lol. Great advice ladies, I am one of those girls who has been on SM for a couple years, but have only been streaming a few hours a day, because, honestly, it drives me nuts....but, what drives me even more nuts is not reaching the goals i had for myself last year and living from paycheck to paycheck, so this week i started implementing slowly building up my streaming hours. Im starting with 4 hours a day this week, next week I will do 5, so on and so forth. Small steps toward hopefully big results.

Thanks, you make me blush, haha ) I am just learning from my own mistakes and I try to help others prevent them. I didn't get to make 5 figures a month yet, but this year I plan to. In 2020 I want to make 5 figures a month, at least 7 months in a year. And in 2021 I'd like to have the 5 fig's a month, my low goal )).
I did suffer 6-7 years for being inconsistent and camming starts to burn me out, but I want to make the next 4 years, the most profitable, so I can forget my fail and then retire and live rich ). Sacrificing 4 years of my life, to live free for the rest of it, it's a very small price.
