My mom's birthday is on the 19th, i was going to have a small party for her. i was thinking about making shish kabobs, I was going to use wood skewers but i don't want to burn the house down. Any ideas on how to not set wood on fire in an air firer?

to not set fire to the shish kabobs, you could use electric grill to make them cook perfectly, if you don't have electric grill you could use air fryer but the taste would vary.

Lol.
@ first, I thought the title was in foreign language!
So yeah, use the electric grill, if you have..do keep an eye on them tho, no matter what you use, they can flare up! Keep a box of baking soda handy for dousing flare ups!
If not, use the broiler under your oven, or get a cheapie mini outdoor grill from Walgreens.
I know 0 about air fryers, sorry.
Best of cooking, happy Memorial Day!

You can use wooden kabob sticks. You just need to soak them in water for 10 minutes beforehand.
Can you cook the pieces in the air fryer then put them on wooden skewers after they’re cooked?

He could, but I think w/kabobs you want to blend the meat w/veggies by cooking them next to each. other?
Edit ~ I think also the metal skewers would conduct the heat better thru, than the wood
