Default Juvaderm fillers...Anybody have any experience

I contacted a Dr. about getting juvaderm fillers for my face/neck. I am in my 40s and I want them specifically to fill under the eyes and the lines on my neck. They told me it would be $650 a syringe. Does anyone know if that is a good price? How do you know how many syringes you would need?

They want $100 to make a consultation and I don't wanna waste my time or money making a consultation if it's not going to be what I need.

I had a bad experience with juvederm under my eyes in the past. I looked like I got punched in the eye with a huge eye bag protruding and made her stop on just one side. Walked around with sunglasses for a few weeks and had to get it dissolved. I definitely recommend going with someone who is very experienced with undereyes...afterall you only get one set of eyes. The best filler for undereyes IMO is restylane or belotero.

I've had juvaderm a few times under the eyes and laugh lines. The doctor I had was the first one I found in LA and he did a great job. I did look more refreshed and better, but in a way that was difficult for people to pin point. The only thing is that once that stuff starts to dissolve, it makes your under eyes swell up and stretches out your skin underneath. I really do think that is why I have saggy under eyes now, bc of the occasional swelling I'd get from the juvaderm that stretched out the skin, much like breast implants stretch out the skin and result in saggy boobs after they are taken out. This particular doctor also wanted to fill up my cheeks with juvaderm ultra plus, came out ok but completely unnecessary.

Since I move and travel a lot, I went to another guy for under-eye juvaderm and that came out a complete disaster. The doctor was touted as a facial specialist. Well, he hit a blood vessel in my face and I walked around black and blue for weeks. Good thing, I wasn't working at the time/on break. Otherwise, that situation could have cost me a lot of money!

I called the office where this happened and demanded my money back, and they actually refunded it. The thing could have been avoided had he not been paying attention to his phone while the needle was at my face.

As far as price, yes, $650 per syringe, is about average. You might need a couple.

Good luck! I feel as though it's super difficult to find a person who gets it right. I feel like the original doctor I had started me on that stuff way to early at age 26, but I haven't been able to find an injector as good as him. I've gone to a few spas and doctor offices since then for botox as a trial run before I let them progress to something like juvaderm, but it's never as good as the original doctor. There is a lot of money in doing cosmetic injections but a lot of injectors really should be doing another job bc they are completely unqualified. It also bothers me that the cost is so high, and yet, a lot of the times, you get a nurse with a two to four year degree, doing the injections. So do your research!

Spent 2000 on a highly reviewed beverly hills plastic surgeon for undereye restylane and he did an amazing job but damn when it was time for refills that price tag was too much to repeat. I don't have Kim K money to drop on my face like that. Another good option is a facial fat transfer. It lasts longer and you save money in the long run.

The one time I did my under eye filler was with a BH dr too, and I loved the results. He put very little but knew where to put it. Best injector I ever had. It was Restylane also, and lasted over a year. This is why I'm hesitant to do it near home. The best injectors are in LA.

I have had this too, it cost me over $1000–it may be $650 per syringe but that may only fill one side, for me that was the case. It made me so sick and swollen for 5 days, my face was bruised and I had a fever. I could endure all that fora nice result, which I did like it. But it only lasted for like 3 months, so I never did it a second time.

    Tear trough filler (eye filler)
this is for an eye filler appt to fill in the tear troughs. I will decide what is the best filler for you once I see you at the office.
    30 minutes $650

I think it's worth it, but just get a good doctor who actually knows how to apply it strategically. I got mine done by a nurse and one side was amazing, but the other side of the face was... neh.

Got lip fillers 3 years ago. The DSL's were fun for about a month then deflated quicker than Tom Brady's ball. :/

I love Juvederm. I get one syringe in my lips twice a year. It's worth it to me.

I've had a full syringe of Juvederm in my lips. I paid $650 and it lasts about 2-3 months for me. I don't know why it dissolves so quickly for me. For that reason, it's not worth it to me.

I think juvederm is worth trying out. $650 sounds like the average rate. You can probably find it a little cheaper tho. I would try and find a good injector over price tho.

I get my lips and the smile lines once a year. But its been way over a year now. And I don't think I need more yet. I love them! I had my voluma in my cheeks done last May and I hate it but it's almost gone, thankfully.

Getting lips done is diff than under eye area. I just talked to a new dr about doing something with my under eye, he said he won’t do that area for his patients bc it doesn’t have lingevity. Lips are a different ball game. 999 people can testify about their lips being successful. Different areas, they react to fillers differently.

Fillers under the eyes are awesome. I've had excellent experience with them.

Fillers are the best thing I ever did for my confidence. It does take a while to build them up safely but it's the one thing I invest in which makes a difference for me; in any case. Feel free to DM if you have any questions. xx

Just read about Artetifill, you only need 1 or 2 injections, you don't have to keep going back!

Careful lots of doctors don’t like permanent fillers like that mostly because of you don’t like it you will blame them. Better to start with juvaderm to see if you even like it. Many smile line issues are actually coming from the cheeks sliding down with aging and a filler in the cheek might look nicer then the rounded face many people who get smile lines filled end up with. Best to start with someone who’s whole reputation and livelihood is based on their experience with fillers. Plus there was only a short study on their safety it is not ever absorbed

I had my nasolabial folds done several years ago by a great plastic surgeon with restylane - I didnt have any issues with it but my face is round and fuller so to me it looked rounder - but that could have just been my own self critique - I cant remember my weight then but I may have been at my peak weight when I was going through all of my personal shit with my daughter, grandkids,my farm etc...you were around for all of that - so............ for me in that area it lasted a year or two - I cant remember exactly how long but it was quite awhile
