Does anyone have a good program?
I incorporated into an llc this past year, which I elected to be treated as an s-corp w/an ein. I paid myself a salary at the end of the year in two checks-end of year, bc my income is super irregular.
I tried doing my llc taxes on turbotax, which is what I use every year, but got upset bc first, I couldn't actually file for what I now realize was govs fault for being shut down but I thought it was the program at the time. I also need to straighten out a bit of a book imbalance via QuickBooks where I keep track of everything.
Also, I didn't know whether with the llc/s-corp, whether I'd be filing a self-employed personal return as I've been doing before but now with a k-1 and I get the impression that the turbotax ppl are really not informed enough to give me consistent answers.
Should I continue w/turbotax? I think I know what products I need now (llc and self-emploed personal, plus a couple of state returns), and the gov is open now. Or is there an alternative program that is cheaper and easier to use now that my situation is more complex?
Anyone know of taxact? Taxslayer?
I do pay a good amount for turbotax each year. Wondering if there are alternatives.
