    Duh Unreliable client

I am aware that probably there are similar posts but I couldn’t find any relevant.
I see people as an independent, but I am more an hobbies than a professional. So I need an advice ..
I have been seeing this guy few times.
But recently he first felt asleep when I arrived to the hotel, so the receptionist wouldn’t let me in -was actually rude to me as well. This happened three times in almost a year
Another time I was ready to go and he was busy and kept pospone it until too late, so I was the one to cancel andcthst was the last time I saw him.
So I decide to text him I cannot see him any more.
He contacted me yesterday again to see me.
    I am away this days.
But .. how do you treat this kind of people?
He seams nice, but this unreliable behaviour drives me crazy.. yes/no/ wait.. Seams like he doesn’t take seriously my time
i am keen to see him, but things cannot be like that. Do you consider to see again this type of people? Give them a second chance? How show them that I am no willing to spend time with people that doesn’t have respect for me and my time?
Unfortunatelly Sometimes there is nothing to do but block people, .. but do u give second chance? And What do u tell them?

I would've told him to send a deposit /cancellation fee straight to ur account. but yeah some people are unreliable. might want to find a new client.

Yes I am open to others, he just asked to meet though.
A deposit in my bank means give him my full name..

The problem with electronic payments is that it could easily be reversed. I think cash is best but I suppose you could try Venmo, cashapp, or something if you wanted to risk it. Personally I'd not bother with someone like that because flaky behavior to me, shows that this person is selfish and does not respect you or value your time. He expects you to bend over backwards to accommodate him while wasting your time and efforts that could have been better spent on other prospects or financial endeavors.

Yes WendyStarr, they can dispute it, so trust must be there. Also I am no at that level of giving my full name to him. I need yet to think if is worthy to try again or just let it go.
As he is generous, but is hard work as well.. there are better prospects out there.
I think I need to be quiet firm with him without coming across too transactional. Get something more while I am open to others.

There are some work arounds. He can buy you an amazon gift card or book you a nice spa treatment nearby before your next meeting to say he is sorry ( or to use as a gesture of a " deposit " of sorts ) . Suggest one and see what he does. It sounds like without a deposit you should only see him at off peak ( maybe day time ) v.s. any prime evening times where he can mess with your earnings.

    Thanks that’s very helpful!
Will ask him to book me a treatment somewhere to start with. Than will see. I am already offering him only second choices. Don’t get me wrong he is a nice guy and would like to see him more, but he messed around little too much now and I am no keen to see him as I feel like powerless and no much valued for my time.

I asked him a gift card.. but he didn’t replied and already passed two days.
Doesn’t seems a good sign that he is willing to make it up to me

Start taking deposits from him if you plan on seeing him again. 99.9% of clients who pay a deposit don't cancel because you have their balls in your hand. If not- cut his ass off! You have a business to run and don't have time for games. Some of these assholes just like to fuck with you.

Had one like this previously who was keen the 1st time, then 2-3x he'd blow me up and text and say how much he missed me, and 'wish I was there' but when money came up he was 'tired' and blah, blah, blah. I told him don't ever contact me again until he was ready to pay for my time. These losers must learn it's business!

If he has pulled this nonsense several times in a row, he is probably way more trouble than he is worth. Jerking you round like you've described tells me he is exactly the type that would dispute any electronic payments you might manage to wrangle out of him. Cut him off and don't look back.
