    Default Too old now?

Well I'm 30. I'm in bad shape but could do something about it. I used to dance in the UK but haven't in years. Will be back in the UK, and thought - how old are dancers? I was always the youngest and made good money - but now I would be one of the oldest?

No, there are plenty of 30+ year olds dancing.

That is still young and in your prime. If you're in shape/attractive, it doesn't matter. You will make money. Just take care of yourself.

That said, I know there are clubs that won't hire 30+, no matter how attractive you are. They're probably thinking she's gonna age fast/look bad quick. Which is dumb, bc if that's the case... then she can quit herself once she sees it's not worth it anymore.

^ True, it probably does depend on the club. The last couple of places I worked there were a lot of girls around 30 and quite a few anywhere up to a decade older. I think if you are 30 when go to audition, most clubs won't care but above early 30s it could start to become an issue.

Also, obviously if you don't look 'good for your age' and/or are out of shape the truth is they will judge you more harshly than they would a younger girl who is out of shape, a bit like Vyanka said, they will think in terms of the girl being 'past it' etc.

Well I saw a thread on here with many ladies 30+. I need to get back into shape!

Q: what age range is in your club? How do earnings compare as ladies get older?

    Thanks for all the support!

30 is fine but if you are not in good shape ( just being honest ) try a more divey place.

It’s really comparable to athletes. Young athletes can get by on natural talent. Mature dancers get by on skill and hustle. 33 and not quitting until the wheels falls off. Honestly, I’m trying out for a new club and I’m a little anxious about the age thing. I’ve always loved mature women! I never understood why age mattered.

From 20 to early 40s...the older dancers definitely earn more. My body is nowhere near as good as when I was younger but I wasn't good at making money back then. Honestly, being young and hot isn't the main factor.

I don't ever recall seeing any of the older girls crying in the changing room because she wasted hours with someone only to be shortchanged, or taken advantage of in some other way by club or custies. Just an example. No offence to younger girls.

A combo of life experience and well-honed sales skills counts for a lot!

I’m 37 and in the club I put a lot of younger girls to shame. However I look young for my age and I workout a lot. Some men prefer mature women. I have men who have left younger dancers for me because the conversation was different. Looks so play part but you don’t have to look young you just have to look good.

Girl I just turned 29 and I still dance. I think as long as you take care of your body, look good and have a good personality, age doesn’t really matter.

I'm going to be 41 in a few months. I do just fine and, most shifts, I'm top earner by a lot.

    Get in shape and hustle.

Those of us who can stay making money into our 30s do so largely due to taking care of ourselves. Being in shape makes or breaks you after 30.

Ever since I started dancing at 20 I noticed girls in their 30s always trump the money the girls in their 20s make. Your 30s is like your stripper prime IMO

I knew one who is near 50, flat, petit, and hyperactive and still stripping. Well at another club as she got fired last year for overcharging a manager's friend.

I'm 30 as well and still dance. I still look very young and do 20 times better than I did at 19. Where I live there's plenty of 30 and over dancers who do a good job and still make bank. Start getting in shape and apply!

im over 30 and do better than most girls at my club. there are maybe 2 visibly older dancers and I think its sad, but honestly if they did fillers and botox they would be fine. I just think obvious deep wrinkles on a stripper are a no no.

Honestly, as a Midwest girl I’ve never knew this was an issue cause I’ve seen girls all ages and sizes. Might be an issue in an elite or corporate club. I’ve always exercised and did my fillers and Botox. I’m seriously thinking about retiring as a cosmetic nurse. I think everyone should get Botox. Just kidding, but seriously best medical advancement. It’s great to being an aging millennial.

I feel like the clubs crawling around with only really young girls are less money, honestly. If a lot of really hot "veterans" work in 1 spot it usually says something good about the money there. Or potential at least. Ime
