If you are a meat eater- red meat is a good source, beans, and leafy greens.
I struggle with anemia from time to time- usually around my period. I try to make it a point to include red meat, brocolli, spinach in my meal plan.

I went to a naturopath a while back she recommended taking yellow dock (I realized that you don't want to take pills)- from what she had told me it helps to absorb iron as well. It doesn't get you constipated either. I don't take it all the time just when I feel like my body is running low on it.
