One area I dont know how to fix, I was wondering if you had some advice on. They say the first thought when you wake up should be good and how you see or want the day. My issue is as soon as I open my eyes, I automatically wish I was dead and then follows the I hate life, I'm tired, I dont want to do this anymore, life is a joke, etc etc. How do you change that split second when it has become so automatic? That thought, those thoughts are now out there to the universe and you cant take them back and its been a thought for a very long time that gets stronger everyday and has for quite some time.
Hey there! Just thought I'd chime in since I have gone through the same thing in the past and would like to share what has worked for me

Just like anything else, it takes work to change your thoughts. It takes time and a LOT of practice. Our brain can be a bitch sometimes and negativity attracts negativity. And before we know it, we get so fucking deep into it that we don't see a way out. Now, I am not an expert on this, but I can share with you what has worked for me. In fact, I am going to share with you what I have been practicing for the past 4 years that took me out of depression, and allowed me to completely stop taking antidepressants. I am not a shrink, so please don't consider this as medical advice (because it's not, it's mostly spiritual). Also, I am not saying that I don't get negative days anymore, because I still do. But I try to make myself feel better as much as I can.

    Meditation:

There are a few guided meditations that you can use to feel better. Some of them are almost instant, but some of them need repetition and a lot of time (totally worth it). Here are a couple of the ones that I HIGHLY recommend:

    Bob Proctor's Paradigm Shift:

You need to practice this for at least one to two months to start seeing some changes. And keep doing it, even when you start seeing changes. When I did this the first time, I started seeing changes in my mood and outlook on life in a few weeks.

Dr. Wayne Dyer's 5 minutes before you sleep meditation:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McPphok1IwU

Use the last 5 minutes of your day before you drift off saying this prayer. Do not think about how bad your day was, or what the fuck is coming tomorrow. Just say the prayer, even if you don't feel it. You will eventually.

Abraham's 4 things you must do every day:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-V7EgImPVfc

How to manifest anything by We Are Creators - this one is super powerful and almost always instant:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKV8_5h3P_I

    Affirmations:

Take one positive affirmation that you want to manifest and repeat the crap out of it every day. The affirmations can be either about abundance, health, love or anything that your heart desires. But take one at a time. I learned that our subconscious mind can get very overwhelmed by our thoughts and it can be very difficult to manifest so many things at the same time. So try to do one at a time.

    Some examples of positive affirmations:

I feel good about money and I deserve it in my life
Great wealth is flowing to me now
    I know I am abundant
I am worthy of my desires
I achieve whatever I set my mind to
I am worthy of positive changes in my life
I am aligned with my purpose

If you can write them down a few times every day, even better.

    Subliminal messages:

Subliminal messages can do wonders to your subconscious mind. But again, they need to be repeated over and over and over. The best way you can use them is to listen to them as you sleep. Preferably with headphones on.

    Gratitude:

I totally agree with Miss_ShaSha. Gratitude is one of the things that I live by every single day in the morning and at night. Before I go to bed, I thank the Universe for whatever happened that day (even if I had a shitty day), then in the morning I start my day with gratitude statements. It doesn't have to be much, just something like I'm grateful for waking up another day, I'm grateful for my house, for my friends, for my health etc etc. Tiny things, and soon you will realize that every day you will have more things to be grateful for.

Sometimes we may feel so negative that every gratitude statement feels like a lie. In that case you can use things that you know in your subconscious mind are true. For example, you could be grateful that the sun rises every morning, that the sea is abundant, that the birds are chirping etc.

    Cleanse and Smudge:

Whenever I feel bad energy, I smudge my whole place with sage. If it's hot enough and I am close to the sea, I do a sea ritual to clear all negative energy. It works every single time.

    Reiki:

If you know someone who can give you a Reiki session, go for it. If not, you can learn how to do it yourself. I learned Kundalini Reiki a couple of years ago and it works wonders. You can find all the steps to become a Reiki healer here: https://www.loveinspiration.org.nz/kundalini-reiki.html

Sorry for the long post, just thought I would share what has been working for me for the past few years. I hope it helps you too

Thank you so much ladies! And damn Chloe, THANK YOU!!!!!!! I serioulsy appreciate the time you took to get that together. I'm sending you some huge virtual hugs! I'm going to bookmark everything you said and actually screenshot and print it out and have it near me so I can just re-read it every time I start to feel myself wandering. I can go back and "regroup" and follow your advice. Damn. I'm glad I asked. I had been hesitant about it but I knew I needed to figure out something before I got to deep.

34 days drinking Cerebral Anxiety Free tea daily & it definitely works! I've had 3 VERY MILD derealization episodes in the last two weeks. Usually my episodes are severe & I'm panicked. None of that.

2 weeks since Reiki session & feel very well. Sleeping better, more positive, & surprisingly stable (zero depression as I suffer from SAD Seasonal Affective Disorder).

& survived SM bonus week making $1k+.

My plans for today are self care (eat clean, hydrate, meditate, & paint) then excited to go over Chapter 6 of Letting Go, a self help book, via Skype vid. Uber excited!

That's awesome! It's always important to take time for ourselves and take care of ourselves. I don't think I will cam tomorrow. I will take the day off and practice my graphic design skills. I started a course recently and I am loving it

Hi Sha, i might suffer for this myself as my depression and anxiety started 2-3 weeks ago after i was off pills since summer, i remember last year i also had some hard time with depression and anxiety in the cold season and the doc had to give me gabapentin again as i was just on a mild antidepressant and did just fine with it in the summer.
Now as i was off pills completely the episode was more intense that i had to go to hospital cause what my doc gave me (same antidepressant as before and another one that is also for anxiety) did not help me fall asleep and it was weekend so i went to ER, i was completely wasted, not really responsive to stimulus, scared and depressed.

The stress over SM 'helped' me get here but it might be seasonal too, will have to talk to my doc when i go there in january, she was only able to help me over the phone and sent me the prescription by email, she is fully booked.

When this seasonal depression starts for u normally?
This time it came step by step for 2-3 weeks then the last week aggravated till i lost sleep completely.
All the best for u there xxx

Oh goodness...sorry to hear it's gotten bad. It's great you went to the ER though. Often times ppl suffer in silence until things reach crisis levels. Glad to hear you were helped.

Sometimes I can get depressed as early as Sept and anywhere til Feb. I once had a severe depression in Sept that required hospitalization. But for me, anywhere in Fall through Winter and never Spring through Summer.

Thank you Sha, yes I went to the ER cause the 1st time I had a severe episode I was not able to sleep at all for 3-4 days and I started to halucinate with delirium, I had a psyhotic episode and been hospitalized for it 2 weeks but I recovered pretty fast from the delirium, in about 2 days, my son called the ambulance back in 2019 when I started halucinate. This time I got scared it could happen again and went to ER before things got worse.
Do depression and anxiety ever heals for good or we live with them forever? I also started cognitive therapy so will see how this helps together with the medication. In summer when I stopped to take pills with doctor acceptance I was thinking I was cured. I am sad to find out I am not cured and it came back but will do my best here, will take pills for how long is needed and do therapy.

I have experienced the same and not everyone who has depression has to take medication for the rest of their lives. There are many women I know who have had therapy, self care well, and know their triggers thus reducing them so that they do not have to take medication. CBT is good therapy. I had it for 6 months and also anger management for 6 months. I also have skills in DBT and ACT. Therapy is a huge help. Medication alone however isn't a cure. You'll have to use many different strategies to reach and maintain wellness.

I used to take Gabapentin for anxiety. I no longer do. I manage my anxiety through CBT, ACT, meditation, optimal hydration, and a clean diet (foods to reduce anxiety).

Started to feel derealized today. It always starts with negative thoughts & "what ifs". However I was able to speak kindly to myself & complete all tasks on my to do list WITHOUT panic. Panic is almost always the common denominator in my episodes. There was none of that.

I've been drinking the anxiety free tea & meditating like usual. The only differences this month have been the tea & Reiki session. I'm not sure which holds more weight. I think the combination of regular self care (meditation, clean diet, hydration, proper sleep, social medicine, exercise, therapy skills, & reduction of triggers), anxiety free tea, & Reiki are all working to keep me grounded.

Whatever it is, I'm truly grateful. A day of Derealization without panic is monumental. I kinda wanna celebrate lololll.

Had a tarot reading done for 2021 and I’m very pleased, it sounds like work will be much more successful in the new year. Gave me a little boost today

And I’m feeling good for having a break from camming this week. I’ve done a bit of content but mainly took time for myself and Christmassy stuff. Looking forward to getting back to it Boxing Day

BF really helped me unwind from a long day on cam yesterday. I did 8 hrs with hardly any breaks. When I finished at 5pm my body was seriously tense.

He surprised me with a gift I've been eyeing for a few weeks then treated me to a movie with dinner & a bottle of my favorite wine. Wonder Woman was just what I needed to see & the wine totally calmed my nerves.

Then back at my place we were incredibly intimate.

Best Christmas I've ever had & the self care I truly needed.

Excited to start the last day of SM contest. I wanna finish in top 100. Let's see how it goes

Last night was the second night falling asleep with sleep band headphones and positive affirmations of self-love playing. The band is super comfortable and sound quality great plus the battery just lasts and lasts. Woke up in the best mood! Got 8.5 hrs of the best quality sleep which is pretty impressive. Fitbit sleep score was an 89 (one of my highest scores).

Training was terribly subpar today. After 4 days off I could only manage 20 min cardio and was super weak on arms and chest. My last bench press was 15 lbs plus bar (4 sets of 10 reps) which I was so proud of. Today? SMH...only 10 lbs plus bar and could only manage 3 sets of 5 reps. IDK what the fuck happened to my strength today. Biceps and triceps were a major struggle too.

More bad news is I've gained 5 lbs lololll. I seriously don't know what's up, but I'm still in a good mood despite it all. While I'm not happy with regressing, I sure am happy I'm healthy and covid free. Life really isn't that bad...like at all.

Anyone else struggle with their MH this time of year, more than any other? The holidays just ruin me, always have since I was a child. Urgh, need to work but feel so down and can’t seem to pull myself together. Just want to sleep but I’ve done practically nothing all week. Hope I can pick myself up.

I have depression and it manifests as not wanting to do anything. I don’t feel sad just tired and unfocused. So I signed up for this feminist financial coaching group. Highly recommend! PM for info. Basically it approaches finances from a self care mindset. So instead of looking at work and dreading it I’m grateful I can do financial self care! I look at work as financial self-care and it’s made it easier to log in. Then I reward myself with a bath or some tea. It’s not that I hate camming-when I get good customers I love it! But it’s like working out-at fist no one loves working out. You learn to love it because of the results and eventually it feels good.

I was proud of myself for working last night. I plan on doing a New Years evening theme tonight. I logged off when I got a a few good shows to make my first day back a pleasurable experience. That way my brain links pleasure to working. We all know this is a numbers game and basically if you can deal with the broke losers eventually you will get a good show. It can be challenging when you get all dressed up and then broke losers waste your time for hours. I use to feel bad for guys, but what kind of man doesn’t want to support a beautiful, kind lady. I swear if they can’t tip at least a gold they are getting blocked.

So a lot of my self care is financial. I’m really good at the other forms of self-care. It’s financial self care I struggle the most with. I’m not lazy. Depression just makes everything harder! But the only way to best depression is to take bite sized positive action steps even when I don’t feel like it.
Focus more on what you want than on what you don’t want

I suffer from SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder - - Depression). I self care hard core. Eat right, hydrate, meditate, exercise, socialize, & practice CBT skills. I just get the fuck on. & when my depression gets bad enough I go to the hospital.

Sometimes I'm so tired I don't wanna do shit, but I log on anyway. 4 hrs instead of 8 is good enough. I'm kind to myself & have a savings when I'm bed bound for a few days.

It's tough. No joke. But just GTFO & STFO.

I absolutely love that concept! I'm having issues logging in too and that is a great way to look at it. Financial self-care.

I'm not going to lie, I am really struggling today and I need to figure out what to do to keep myself from spiraling.

When I start to slow down and spiral I just try my best to self care. Eat something healthy, walk or exercise (which is hard when you just want to sleep), and be super kind to myself.

Be nice to yourself. Depression is so difficult to deal with. And try your best to be grateful for anything you can.

I'm super glad to be ok so far. I usually find myself sinking around this time of year.

Hang in there. Reach out to family and friends if you can. Talking to someone who loves you goes a long way. And there are a lot of ppl who love you. Know that.
