Things have been crazy since this spring. My aunt passed away two weeks ago- she had stage 4 pancreatic cancer. After my grandmother passed my family decided to have regular family get together's which is good-but I get peopled out easily.

My aunt's funeral was good-there was a lot of good memories shared and joy, and tears. I think what made it easier for all of us was her optimistic outlook on her diagnosis- she made the most of her time while she was here.

I let go of alot of self care stuff in the midst of all of that.

Currently baby stepping with exercise and meditation. My fitbit broke a couple of month's ago and I replaced with it Amazon's Halo band.
There are alot of good program's on Halo that is helping. Currently doing a walking meditation- it's really grounding and then basics of meditation to get back into the habit of it again.
I bought kettlebells and a foam roller to add to workouts for strength. Worked out with them. Plan to workout with them twice a week.

I am fully vaccinated now and now that things have opened back up- I am going to recovery meetings at least twice a month. I find it helpful to be able to "real" talk with others.

Financial self care is going good. Got one debt paid off and eliminated another one.

Family is well. All are either recovered from health issues and/or healthy for the time being.
I am building my energy back up because I am ready to ENJOY LIVING!!!
Reading that and all I could say was WOW. Had to take a deep breath. And I thought I had it rough. Sister, I'm sorry for your losses, but it sounds like you've really got things under control even though you say you're baby stepping.

I know you as the self care gangsta. You really truly are. And I think going to meetings with people who can fully relate is ace. When I was in a trauma hospital out patient for 6 weeks the group meetings were incredibly helpful. Everyone knew what derealization was because they had it too and depersonalization. It was like the best bonding experience ever.

Yeah, sounds like you're going to be just fine. The Universe is conspiring for your benefit. Life is happening for you and not to you.

Damn, I'm gonna cry now. Shit! Much love sister!!!

Love you sis!!! Happy tears only for now Unless you need to ugly cry then get that shit out

I miss her, but had a shit ton of good memories with her.

She taught me some killer dance moves when I was kid- you know the grapevine, the running man and the cabbage patch She was a step-in mother to me, and one hell of a role model. A true go getter- if she saw a problem she worked on a solution. I am thankful she was in my life.

Support groups have been my saving grace in working through depression, and other life stuff.

Thank you for your support sis!!!

You had some really great times. That stuff is gonna last forever, and if/when you can really sit with those happy moments and feel the same feelings when they happened...OMG it'll be so great.

I'm so glad you're ok. I love you too sister!!!

Rested my back, ate tons of anti-inflammatory foods, and laid off training for a few days. My back is A-ok and I was back at the gym this AM to train well.

SPIN: power training in zones 5 and 1. 30 second attacks in zone 5 (red/danger lololll) and then recovered in zone 1 for 1 min. Repeat. 5 min warm up and 5 min cool down. Felt damn good.

    SPINpowertraining.jpg

Then onto legs and finished with core. Leg press 130 lbs 10 x4 with 30 sec cardio between sets, hamstring curl 55 lbs 10 x4 with 30 sec cardio between sets, calf extensions 70 lbs 10 x4 with 30 sec cardio between sets, back extensions to target glutes 100 lbs 15 x 4 with 30 sec cardio between sets.

    LEGSandCORE.jpg

I'm in a great mood and I'm gonna go this distance today for my hours goal.

Planning 7-8 hrs today with time to meditate and maybe some EFT a few times when it gets dead haha. Gonna keep fueling up right and hydrate like fuck

    UPDATE:

Man, got so frustrated with this 4.5 hr shift. I think it's a combo of other shit that is going wrong in my life adding up. So I meditated and tracked it to see how my brain is doing. Actually surprised by this meditation.

    AfternoonMeditation (2).jpg

I am very upset about a situation that is super serious. The Attraction journey on Synctuition helped me process the anger which is really fear, accept it, then release it. I also visualized attracting what I desire.

Interestingly Gamma waves (red) were relatively high & that's great to know. My aim with meditation is to produce those frequencies & frequently. I feel accomplished, but even more so calm.

Gonna GTFBackO at 3pm-6pm and hopefully attract the right clients who will pay big

New self-care challenge: eat less meat. I only eat fish and chicken, rarely eat red meat but still I'm trying to eat less meat.

Today was my first day of no meat.

Emotional self care, mental health care: not giving time, space or energy to toxic people, family included. It was much easier during the pandemic. 'I don't want to come over, don't want to get sick' was the perfect excuse without being guilt or pressured.

Chickpeas are a great protein source and you can do so many things with them.

I gave up meat entirely a few years ago but I still ate seafood for a long time. I gradually became vegetarian.

I think eliminating toxic people from your life is one of the best things you can do for your mental health. I have had a few people try to bring me down with negative energy lately. I put up with that way too long. Not anymore. Misery loves company.

    Finally got a good night's sleep-yay!

I've been taking ZZZquil's PureZZZ's before bed this last week-it's helped get me to sleep, but staying asleep had been an issue.
Last night I did the Yoga Nidra program and it helped! I feel well rested for a change and finally hit the deep sleep range

The best way to deal with toxic people is to avoid them. Any reaction, interaction will only fuel their toxicity. Toxic people are detrimental to our well being. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!

I cherish any night I could get a good night sleep. Been taking Melanotin 5mg an hour before bedtime and it's been helping me fall asleep. Last night I slept from 9pm til 5am

Such a good thing to do for all those little cells in your body. I only have red meat on very rare occasions. A burger here or there. I only have salmon, sardines, and eggs...but have had less of those as I am consuming lots of nuts, seeds, and plant based protein powder.

Best on this new healthy journey!!!

Well done! I cherish sleep sooooo much especially with what we do for a living. Poor sleep means a poor vibe for me and vibe is everything. You must feel sooooo good!!!

Went to gym today with a fuckin plan to kill myself hahahaaa. My resting heart rate was so low this AM I just HAD to do TABATA on the bike. It's 8 rounds of 20 second ALL OUT sprints with only a 30 second recovery. I did a 7 min warm up and a 7 min cool down. God is real cause I died on that bike this AM and he brought me back to life lolollll.

Then I did some weight training for 32 min: arms, shoulders, and back with 30 sec cardio between sets. 10 x 4.

It's only Tuesday and fuck...I've almost exceeded my active zone min for the WEEK! My goal is 500 a week

During my shifts I wear my bluetooth earbuds paired with my laptop and I play a saved list on Youtube that just loops positive subliminal messages.

This one in particular raises your vibe and I love it.

Gym is one of the main things I look forward to. I did 25 min zone 5 intervals and shit were they fun. Then 38 min legs and core. Dude, I just love legs sooooo much!!!

Meditated, man...not even sure how many times today haha. Whenever it just died I stopped stream and meditated and it was pretty damn dead.

Getting good sleep tonight. Hoping for a sleep score of 90. Gonna try to do it

Was gonna get McDonald's double cheeseburgers and 10 nuggets today but I resisted and made some guacamole with toasted garlic naan bread instead. In able to achieve something different, we must do something different.

Self care is not giving into impulses. Mind over matter. Proud of myself.

Haha, same! On my day off I wanted 2 double cheeseburgers, Dr Pepper, and wine on Tues: ended up making avocado toast with sunny side up egg. Yeah, doing the right thing is self care.

Avocado toast sounds yummy. Eating healthy feels good.

Fresh produce has been so much better than last year. My ex is into gardening and he overloads me with good fruits and veggies. Watermelon will be ready soon...yay!

I found out that zucchini is really good for you so been eating a lot sauteed zucchini. They're cheap too. No matter how early or late I go to bed, I'm always up by 5am. Natural morning hoe.

I like zucchini and summer squash.

You're up and I'm ready for bed. Natural night hoe. Goodnight!

Well, maybe not. I'm tired and loopy from nighttime cold medicine and now Miss Mae kitty wants to play. She won't let me self care. lol

    Are you sick, sis?

I'm always amazed at how late you can stay up and hoe. I'm sleepy, tired by 10pm.

**** Was gonna go to Trader Hoes early this morning but I don't want to deal with cunts and assholes so I won't. It's better for my mental health. I also don't feel like driving that way.

Well, maybe not. I'm tired and loopy from nighttime cold medicine and now Miss Mae kitty wants to play. She won't let me self care. lol

Slept so damn good cause I exceeded that high goal yesterday that had me so stressed haha. Then I woke in such a good mood. Got ready for gym then smashed it cause my resting heart rate was lower.

Zone 5 attacks for 30 seconds with a 1 min recovery in zone 1 repeat. 5 min warm up and a 5 min cool down. Felt so damn good.

Then arms, shoulders, and back. Fuck: I HATE ARMS and BACK! Ewwwww, but I do em.

I'm always amazed at how late you can stay up and hoe. I'm sleepy, tired by 10pm.

**** Was gonna go to Trader Hoes early this morning but I don't want to deal with cunts and assholes so I won't. It's better for my mental health. I also don't feel like driving that way.
I have a little cold but I seem to be fighting it off.

The key thing about nights is to stick to it, even on your days off. I had to switch to a daytime schedule for a couple of weeks when I moved. That was hard and I was relieved to go back to nights.

What's wrong with people at your TH? I don't see cunts and assholes at the one I go to but maybe it's the area. It's about 20 minutes away. There are plenty of cunts and assholes at the store in my area though.

Yes, it's all about keeping that circadian rhythm the same, no matter what time it is. It takes a few weeks to get used to.

I have been staying on later than usual so I'm pretty much doing overnights now. I don't go to bed till 5am but I always shower and eat first. I love sleeping when everyone else is up.
