I really admire how consistently you stick to selfcare. I’m also quite into spiritual things like energy healing, meditation, crystals, EFT tapping etc but I never can stick to any of these things. My energy lately feels really bad snd negative and I can’t seem to shift it.
I always start off by doing things for one day then I just don’t keep it up.

ive kinda been letting myself go the past month because i have been camming a lot.
so this week during my period i
got my teeth bleached and cleaned
i got a massage with my hubby
and got a mani and pedi.
and got my hair colored and done with olaplex treatment at the salon.
    so proud of myself.

i have to do it more frequently . i feel better for sure.

I posted this the other night and deleted it. It's the stigma of mental illness that needs to be changed.

I have been having derealization episodes. It started 2 weeks ago with one episode. I thought it was just a fluke but now it's happening quite frequently.

Sha, I think you mentioned having them before, right?

It's working very nicely. My bowel movements are more consistent and healthy. I feel kinda cleaner. In conjunction with it I take probiotics as the moss has prebiotics and the combo really seems to keep my moods really consistent and my vaginal health has really improved. I'm actually getting wet pretty easy and just feel cleaner down there.

I hear this. I can sometimes back off of meditation and energy work a little from time to time. When this happens I think I've gotta get back into it hard and can get discouraged when I'm having trouble focusing during longer meditation sessions that were routine (30+ min), so I'll just start back up with short 5 or 10 min sessions, a quick 5 min tapping session, or not TRY to focus when meditating and just think of it as a relaxing break.

First off, I'm sorry to hear this. Derealization can be scary AF to experience once, but for it to start happening more frequently can be really distressing. Second, it's pretty normal and harmless.

Taking things like Ashwagandha, CBD tincture, and this DP/DR meditation can really truly help ease the distressing symptoms and actually reduce or eliminate episodes all together.

The man who created that meditation is fully recovered and has a YouTube channel full of helpful information on accepting and managing DR.

This book has been extremely instrumental in helping me deal, cope, and function well with DR.

That is so helpful Sha, thank you very much. I will check all that out. To know that it's normal and harmless is a big comfort. I knew what was happening because I had a few of them 8 years ago.

I don't find them particularly distressing. It's like a little escape from realty for awhile. I sure don't want to be in a constant state though.

I have a psychiatrist appointment on Monday too.

Update: Feeling so much better today. It's beautful outside. That can do wonders.

i would for sure agree with Ashwagandha .my thyroid suppliment as a good dose of Ashwagandha and i went without it for 3 weeks.
i was starting to feel really weird. my husband was like.. is it your period week? and it wasnt lol just missing the Ashwagandha.
i feel better now that my supplement refills arrived.

I got the new Healy Bioenergetic Field watch to track HRV and other fitness stats. It does everything my Versa 2 Fitbit does and some.

These are stats from Meditation and BRA which comprises 6 areas to determine health and fitness where HRV (Heart Rate Variability) and stress are included.

After a 22 min meditation session my HRV was off the charts at 255 and excellent which is very impressive plus stress was calm at 33.

This morning my anxiety was bad, like really bad.

I did this and it really calmed my happy ass down.

Quitting Stremate and camming has done wonders for me. I can’t believe I had the courage to admit I was done masturbating 6-8h per day + talking to a shit ton of freeloaders for not even 1/3 of the money. The money was there, but those shitty rules and the constant pressure to keep my billing per hour wouldn’t make up for it. I was constantly having anxiety. Plus, after finally detaching from it, I realized how much SM brainwashes models into thinking it’s the best platform, their best option under sun, not the mention how they fuel the hatred between girls. I worked so many years there and when I gave up, I had no branding outside the platform. Taking action into my hands and investing more time into my image on social media has paid off. Different hustle, but my right fit.

My therapist was right, I wasn’t the issue. Find courage to cut the bad in your life, that’s my only advice after this. Don’t accommodate yourself to bad people or bad environments, build what you need.

Due to extreme stress, I have picked up old ED habits involving smoking/caffeine. I applied for pineapple because my insurance doesn’t cover mental health.

Omg, I would seriously love to read your story, if you want to say it one day. I wanna get done with camming too eventually, but I have no idea what to do and how to fix this, especially with the social media thing. You seriously gave me a lot of food for thought. Altough, I am not doing masturbation and stuff like that and camming isn't wearing me out as bad as it does for others, I need a little change. I am happy to hear you got out of it and found a different niche that works!

Change isn’t easy or comfortable, I’ll say that. It all started during fall, when I decided to make an Onlyfans, after they lifted the ban on porn. I wanted to do it, so I can say I finally had it. My Twitter was a snooze fest, not even 1.5K followers. My Instagram had under 500 people. I wasn’t active on social media prior this, cause I grew up on Streamate and they offered the traffic, didn’t have to use my energy for promoting.

I announced my OF. Had a few of my regulars join and then promoted on Reddit, got verified on some big subreddits and my subscriber count went above my expectations. After my first month, I made 50% of a normal month on SM (working full time) and I never looked back. Excuse me, half of that and I just had to use my brain and be on my phone? Just 1h every few days for content?! Sign me up! After a few months I got tired of Reddit (I felt I reached a plateau) and went on TikTok. I cried many days cause of it, TikTok sucks my soul out, but I don’t have to show any skin (compared to Reddit). So now, 6 months after, I broke 6 figures on OF. I sleep perfectly, I am at peace and I know I made the right call. Currently, my following across all my platforms is 325K people and I’m not stopping here. I want to build multiple TikTok accounts and to finally learn the hustle on IG.

MidwestEmma was my inspiration, she has a podcast called “The Spicy Accountant”. I listened to all her episodes, before I transitioned to TikTok.

Was it easy? No, I cried and cried and then the next day I got back to posting. I scrolled more, I learned more, I failed a lot, but I didn’t give up. Showing up on the platforms helps you build good habits and that was my mantra for some good months.

I think the most rewarding part of all those months wasn’t the success or money, but knowing I could grab myself from a toxic environment and start from scratch. Me? The never ending comfy person, that’s scared of starting anything new, due to fear of failing.

I though I’d share my story here, although it’s not going to be the positive “I quit sex work and did something else and made tons of money” that you was hoping to hear lol.
After being a online SW for too many years than I care to remember. I needed a change and spent the best part of a year debating on doing something outside of SW.

In January I finally took the plunge into opening an Etsy store. Luckily for me prior to SW I was a web & graphic designer. So I started designing things for businesses & it was passive income. So I’m now almost 3 months later.

Ive been working pretty much 7 days a week every week. 6-10 hours a day. Because the more items you have on your store the higher you get on Etsy search rankings. (I’m taking 300-600 listings for decent $$). I now have 200 items on my store and my sales are about 15-20 sales a week at $3-$4 profit per item after fees. So that’s $80 A WEEK

So on Etsy because everything is absolutely saturated. Nobody can find your listings unless you use Etsy ads. This absolutely eats through your daily budget within an hour too and doesn’t even bring in enough sales to cover the costs.

So after working 3 months solid and making no more than $960 in 3 months. I’m done.
I have my own website too & Instagram & Pinterest. And I’m good at marketing but everything is just saturated.

and yeah so is sex work. But guys are willing to pay and the amount you make in SW for less time, is a far cry difference.

Of course any other business outside of sex work can be more profitable, but you really do have to work ten times higher.
I guess I’ve just been spoiled by earning decent money for very little effort.

Massive congrats you should be very proud of yourself. Can I ask, you mention crying a lot from the TikTok thing, why? What was it about TikTok that brought you so much upset.

Yeah, I guess I am tied to sex work for many years from now on, but I want to work smarter and not harder )) I mean, sex work does bring the money and this is the reason i didn't leave it. Where the heck do I get hired for a $7k+ salary? Or even as a freelancer, it's not easy to get to that income with no experience. But I admit, camming gets tiring at times and I need a balance between camming and content making.
And I suck at self advertising, especially as a domme/ non nude, it' s not easy.

me & you seem to have the same vibe domme (mostly findom) I think marketing for that is widely different to vanilla SW services. I have found it to be less of a numbers game and more of a putting yourself in the places where men will look for these services.

So a vanilla model can charge $5 for a mini clip and easily find 100 guys to buy it. But for what we offer, we need to make the most of the guys who approach us and get as much as possible. I personally don’t have any social media at all for my services. I hate Twitter so I closed it years ago, Instagram hates SW. but I do use Reddit. Not a ton but it’s good to find the foot guys and there are domme communities on there.
Other than that it’s about being present on the places that attracts guys looking for dommes NF/Clips4sale/Iwantclips/Kinkbomb and then having your fan pages.

I haven’t done this (I do plan to because it’s sucky that I’m a web designer yet I have no website for my domme work)
but I’ve found dommes having a blog/website to be pretty good. You can build up your email list and then market to that list of guys.

Cause I kept on failing. TikTok is a random app, sometimes you invest a lot of effort into clips and they flop (little views), so you’re left out frustrated and doubting yourself. Other times, the stupidest video goes viral. I needed time to accommodate myself to it, I used to take it very personally and think I wasn’t made for it. For me, investing time in my content meant quality, well, not on TikTok. The app cares more about consistency than anything else.

euro_princess wow, I really enjoyed reading about your experience. I really would like to be a full time content producer. I'm burnt out sitting on cam even though it pays the bills. Taking me way too many hours to make enough lately, and I'd eventually like to get to a place where I have more free time. Feels like all I do is either work or dread working, ugh...

I need to produce and post content more consistently and promote myself on Reddit. I think the missing pieces for me are better consistency and more promotion.

I listened to some of MidwestEmma's podcasts and they are fascinating how she grew her fanbase! She just keeps making new instagram accounts and doesn't give up, then how she moved to TikTok and when they ban her account she just makes another. She is so persistent! I'm going to look through her Youtube channel also.

I had myself convinced TikTok wouldn't work for promoting domme content but looking at some of the femdom content creators I admire I notice they are actually on there too, with mostly safe-for-work previews and little informational clips talking about fetishes.

That’s how I felt before. I was only working, my whole life revolved around my camming schedule. When I didn’t work, I was physically recovering and sleeping. It took a tool on my body, back, posture, sleep, skin issues, vaginal discomfort, panic attacks. I’m really sorry I didn’t start making content in early 2020, when I heard about OF. My attitude back then was, if SM pays the bills, why complicate my life with another platform?! So wrong.

Reddit isn’t as good as it was before spring 2021. They took NSFW content off the “all” page and that means only people subscribed to a certain subreddit will see your posts on their feed, which cuts a lot of the organic reach. But it’s still good! I made bank from 1-2-3M subreddits and I’ve heard very good impressions about feet ones and more niched places. Never bothered with those, cause I’m vanilla.

Emma actually did the podcast after her transition from IG and Reddit. She exclusively uses TikTok now. I remember her saying she went through over 30 TikTok accounts and after hustling the app, I can def understand that. At first I was, not worth it, why start again and again and loss those followers. Truth is, for our business, followers on TikTok mean shit. You can do very well without some big numbers. You need views, not followers, due to the way the app is set. TikTok shows people interesting clips, not necessarily clips from people you are following. There is indeed a “following” FYP, but not that many use it. Most just scroll through the usual FYP, which is a mix of random content, so that gives a lot of reach.

I doesn’t matter what niche you have. Think this way, you have 5M random people from this planet. I don’t need all to buy your product, you can do very well with a few hundreds or thousands. 500 out of 5M is 0.01%, seems little. Multiple it with $10, bam, you got $5 grand out of a clip.

TikTok it’s frustrating, but you will get viral at some point, that’s guaranteed to happen if you post on multiple accounts and constantly (1-2 per day).
