Looking to start camming, not a fan of legalese. Trying to figure out which sites have the least intrusive contracts, (for example, I'd prefer a site that doesn't list a non-compete clause.)
Thanks <3

Im not aware of any sites that have a non-compete clause. Be sure you are signing up for the site directly and not a studio.

If I'm not mistaken, streamate has a noncompete in their contract? I could be wrong though.
In this case they just don't want you stealing customers for the other sites you work on streamate.

So it wouldn't prohibit me from camming elsewhere if I were to choose to? Or maintaining a presence on multiple sites?
No, it prohibits you from giving Streamate customers access to other ways to pay you. For example, you can not be logged into Streamate's platform and tell a Streamate customer to check out your Chaturbate profile. But you can *have* a Chaturbate profile, even one with the same name you use on Streamate.
Edit: Also, I've never seen this come up, but it does seem to prohibit doing things like having a site and using it to directly compete with Streamate for specific customers. Like if you work on Streamate you can't have a personal website that says "Streamate members get 30% off when you buy a show on my personal website!". Your customer base can overlap between sites, but you can't be overtly attempting to take customers of Streamate off their site and onto a different payment method with you.

Oh, nifty!
Ahh okay. I might just avoid streamate because the language is kind of odd!
Honestly, any site that does substantial traffic driving is going to have similar wording. They don't want to invest money in getting traffic to your profile only for you to find a way to get the customer to pay you somewhere else.
There are lots of places where you can make a profile and direct your own traffic to it (and you'll get a much larger cut of the money the customer spends), but often that's not the best way for a beginner to start. If you feel confident in your ability to drive your own traffic, maybe you will want to start off indy camming and skip the big box sites.

I didn't join Streamate because I felt like I would be selling my soul to them. Adultwork's terms are better but US models are unable to join due to Fosta/Sesta.
