Which strip clubs? Which borough? In Manhattan you go in and fill out an application. In Queens, you have to be damn near hand selected. You have to have your body done or a perfect body and have a large IG following. You may even have to be fucking the promoter.

Anyone know if they have to pay for anything prior or while working as a bartender at NYC strip clubs via outfits end of night payout??
They do have to buy the outfit every night they work which I've heard is $60. Most of them get hair and makeup done professionally as well. They also pay for a lot of their photo shoots and have to promote heavily on their IG pages. As far as having to actually pay the club to work, no they do not which is why a lot of the strippers are pissed off. They make more than them, they swipe money off their stages, and yet they don't have to pay to work. They get to do all the stripper shit plus bartender shit without the stripper stigma.

Okay thank you so much!! The outfit part was what I was concerned about. But cool, I will look into it. I have a great following base already. It’s just getting my foot in the door with bartending. It’s so hard to

It's the trend in the business with bartending- everyone is so greedy. I worked at a very popular restaurant & the amount of drama, undercutting and gossip used to get bartender shifts was shocking. This was a family dining restaurant too, it wasn't Hooters or a dump. Bartending is considered glamourous even for men now. Ha, someone should re-make that 1980s movie "Cocktail" for this generation.
