Default What does it mean when dancers refer to a regular’s expiration?

I’ve seen this on the board, referring to a regular reaching expiration. What does this mean? Does it mean you as the dancer terminate the dancer/customer relationship, or that you foresee the customer moving on to another dancer? Does this signify when the regular begins to become too irritating and not worth the trouble? Do you have regulars that never expire? Enlighten me lol
    Thanks

They're usually speaking about the fact that, in their observation, regulars last only a period of months. There are some outliers of course but since many regulars (again repeating what dancers have said) want "more" from the relationship than the dancer is willing to give, they either lose interest, move to another dancer, etc.
We have some blues here that have built long term dancer/customer relationships - that seems to involve respecting boundaries and understanding it is a job for the dancer. I'm sure some dancers will add their voices soon.

That sounds better than them leaving feet first.

The "expiration date" refers to how long a customer will stick around. Everyone seems to have one. It's usually the customer who decides when that is when they get bored with the dancer or once they realize that the dancer isn't going to be his girlfriend or in some cases, once the customer tries to get sexual services from a dancer and gets rejected. That being said, I guess there are some guys who are long-time customers of any particular dancer. Typically those are the kind of guys who are respectful of boundaries and realize that the relationship is more businesslike in nature. I have one from more than 5 years ago who I still see a couple times a month. It's just more common for guys to disappear after a while, hence the "expiration date" thing.

It's simple. They are either out of of money or the $ they have becomes to aggravating to get.

The guy: (1) is overspending and goes broke; (2) sees another shiny object and moves on; (3) gets emotional and eventually is cut off; (4) realizes that she will never see him OTC and finds one who will; (5) has other life issues that preclude him from visiting the club; (6) becomes a PITA and the girl says enough; (7) doesn't want to follow a girl who moves to another club; ( 8 )...[Insert here]

I could plug other stuff in as well - all of this happens and more. This is purely discretionary entertainment spending that a guy can adjust, stop or move, without warning at any time. So no particular guy can be relied upon beyond what he is spending today.

This reliability condition also applies to the girls, who are independent contractors free to move to a place with better money without warning, decide not to work on a given day, take a chunk of time off to deal with xyz, retire altogether, etc. Most girls have a very limited life in this business and many of the ones that do stick it out learn to follow the money.

Dancers may also decide to blow you off at any moment if there is bigger money on the table with someone else. And before you start in one the whole "thinking long-term before blowing off a regular", see what I said above about regulars only being worth what they are spending today. A girl cannot turn down a big opportunity in the hopes that a regular will keep spending tomorrow because she has no way of knowing if he actually will.

Net-net there is no loyalty owed in this business, on either side of the tip rail.

Expiration date for a regular works both ways....I have dumped my “regulars” because they become to possessive...don’t need a strip club wife!
