Crossfingers What age is too old?

So I started dancing in 2013 and stopped in 2017 because I ended up getting a job plus relationship as well. But I’m now 27 and need the money I also really enjoyed dancing. I’m going to dance regardless I was just curious on your thoughts about this.

Jesus. If 27 is old I’m dead. Come ask again in 5 or 10 years and maybe I’ll take that seriously

I took time off dancing from 23 to 27, you’re definitely not too old!! I’m 29 now and I don’t feel too old to be in the business.

    I didn't start dancing until I was 28.

I'm 39 now and my money has only gotten better with time.

Interesting thing- I've noticed over the years managers seem to favor dancers who are between the ages of 23-33 as their desired hire for a strip club (being that women in those age groups usually have reliable transportation to work, have outgrown teen drama, and usually are motivated to do well.) I know some clubs specialize in the "barely legal" look but overall managers seek dancers who will come to work on time and act semi-professional.

Nobody really talks this up b/c the dancers usually claim to be younger but still look very youthful. Also privacy is important.

IMO as long as you're healthy enough you can easily make great money as long as you look good. The top earners I worked with were older than me (usually.) Having the "gut feeling" and experience to find your spenders/whales in the club goes farther than getting a shower of money on stage- usually you are trying to stack dances, or get VIPs.

There is no age that is too old if you look good and know how to hustle, you will do fine regardless of age. I've said this many times but all the top earners that I know are usually 28+ and some late 30's early 40's with a couple 24/25 mixed in but again, that's rare. I also know 3 ladies that are over 50 that are still killing it! Just keep up with your looks (gym, botox, filler, updated outfits , hair, and makeup).

I started at 28 and can't wait to be a sexy "milf" (switch the mother part with mature cause I'm not a mom lol) I just get smarter, more sure of myself and more confident as the days go on.

None! There’s some hot grandmas looking like snacks and running circles around the young broads.

There is is a market for women at pretty much any legal age

30 is too old. When you're 29, you're still hot. The day you turn 30, a huge expiration date that everybody else can see except for you appears on your forehead, your face becomes a sea of wrinkles, and all of your hair turns to white as snow.

Jk. All the top earners I've worked with were 25 and older, and most were 30 and over. There's no limit as long as you take proper care of yourself and your body. I'm 40 and although I no longer dance, I could at most clubs if still wanted to, and I look much better than when I was 18. At age 18, I was chubby and didn't work out or eat properly, and I had no clue how to do my hair and makeup. I've worked with several woman in their late 30's and 40's and one who was 51. The 51 year old had a really fit, toned body with nice breast implants and had a great personality-great hustler and top earner. She didn't look any older than 35 and I didn't believe her age until she showed me her license one day. Some looked great, some didn't-but again, it's all in how you take care of yourself and that holds true whether you're 18 or 50. Eat healthy, exercise, take care of your skin, get enough sleep, and don't do too much smoking, drinking, or drugs.

A few clubs have a stupid rule where they won't hire women who are older than a certain age, but these clubs are few and far between. I've never personally encountered one. Most clubs would rather have a fit, toned older lady who is attractive and takes care of herself than an unattractive, out of shape woman in her teens or early 20's. Older women typically have been dancing longer (although there are exceptions) and have honed their hustling and conversation skills. Also, most customers with a lot of money to spend are 40 and over, and many want to talk and get dances from a hot lady close to their own age and feel creepy getting dances from someone as young as or younger than their daughter. Again, there are always exceptions-sure, there are guys who go for the barely legal look too. My point is just that being in good physical shape is far more important than your birthdate in terms of getting hired.

The club I was at had a girl who was like 36. She looked like she was 20 though.
So long as you take care of yourself, you're probably good.

Honestly ageism is everywhere! So don’t let it stop you from doing what you want. Even in nursing or business younger nurses get the better jobs and older nurses get turned away. Ive heard of that from successful business women too. So just keep doing what you want and ignore ageism. It’s really disgusting when it happens. At the club, I don’t get mad because in all fairness that’s part of the industry. One of my younger classmates mates said something. Oh my god, she’s so lucky we were in a classroom. She was straight up rude and told my professor she’s was old-she’s like in her 40’s. So get used to hearing it. Honestly, I don’t think it’s a healthy attitude to have and I would not befriend people that were ageist. One does need to learn to live among people living unconsciously without reacting all the time- it gets exhausting.

My point is ageism is everywhere. Don’t take it personally and don’t let it stop you from living out loud.

I started at 26 and retired at 36. It was the change in the business that made me quit. Too many girls packed into small clubs who called £150 a good night. Compared to when I started dancing it just wasn't worth the bother anymore not when I could make the same money modelling and teaching dance classes.

I worked until 40 and started at 27. Took time off to have my 3rd child and at 40 got pregnant with 4th child. I took care of myself but can tell you definetly am not perfect. I had stretch marks from my first child at 21. My face luckily looked youthful until about mid 30’s no wrinkles. Genetics i guess but either way there are clubs that will hire you if you semi take care of yourself. I excersized on and off through out the years and did vegi juice cleanses. Don’t ever give up based on age body type etc...there are always options out there you just have to keep shopping around for clubs until you find the one for you.

I'm 28 and looking to retire but mainly due to changes in the industry & local 'climate', shall we say. Before things got shitty, my $$ was averaging more than I did at 23, 25, etc. You get better at cutting through bullshit and time wasters, you get better at reading people and more confident at selling, you get better at doing makeup and hair in the most attractive ways for your face, etc. Plus, more time to accumulate regulars (if that's your thing!)

There are two girls at my club that are over 50. I about yelped and fell off my chair when someone told me the one was 56 - she looks 30 something. Apparently their bodies missed the "strippers must retire at some point" memo :o

I've also been shocked recently when I found out the "real" age of some dancers. Good for them, ageism should be a thing of the past! I'm older and I say it before I hand them my id I guess out of nervousness and they always say, we don't care. And it hasn't stopped me from getting hired yet. I have left places but that was after I was there awhile and they already knew I was way out of my 20's by then. I just spoke with a club yesterday they asked my age and I said 40 ish and they said that's fine, come on in and so I'm going Monday.

lol!! I like what you wrote! And pretty much the whole state of Rhode Island only wants dancers in their 20's and dancers that if the manager holds up his clipboard you must be thin enough to be within the borders of the clipboard. However, there is like one club in RI that hires over 30 but it's mostly dead.

I think some managers appreciate older girls, honestly. My home club skewed "older" - 28/29 was the average and the young end really didn't go below 25ish very much. It was definitely the least dramatic club with the fewest amount of drunk hot messes that I've ever worked in.
It makes the manager's life much easier when the roster is mostly girls who are there to make money and go home.

Additionally, the older girls made this particular club a lot more money. Every time we got a crop of new girls who were younger, they usually didn't last long, partly because they sucked ass at selling. This is the only club that is super heavy on VIP/room sales versus stacking dances, so it takes some skill.

I hate to harp on that generation (God knows I hate being lumped in as a 'lazy entitled milennial') but there is often a pretty obvious divide in behavior between the 22 year olds and the rest of us. The notion that they have fewer conversational & social skills because they grew up using too much tech sometimes appears accurate if you watch them in the club.

Who came up with that arbitrary age? Is this like the Red Pill morons who say women hit "The Wall" at 27/28?

Sheesh. I get asked all the time "Are you even old enough to drink?" There are girls younger than me who look 40. Age is literally just a number, there's so much more that goes into how old someone looks than just that.

This seems to be a common question that comes up time to time. I think this has more to do with physical and mental state than anything. One girl not on this site recently said somewhere that she only goes to the club occasionally to scope out clients for fssw but when once she finds a few men she leaves again for a while. All because, as she put it, she’s been dancing for 8 years and tired of it all. This girl is only one year older than me. But I’ll classify her as “too old”
