After reading this thread I feel so much better bout moving forth with my “stripper career”. I really enjoy it and I’ve had SO much fun with it, I never wanted to look at it as an industry where it expires come a certain age. Thank you ladies. And btw what does fssw mean?

Sheesh. I get asked all the time "Are you even old enough to drink?" There are girls younger than me who look 40. Age is literally just a number, there's so much more that goes into how old someone looks than just that.
I've heard them say "the wall" starts at 21-25. That's silly, IME I didn't noticeably get attention for my looks until I was 23.
I think this "wall" thing is based on fertility. Which is backed by science, but it applies to men as well. Yet these Red Pill guys don't want to admit that the sperm of a young man produces healthier offspring than the sperm of an old man. Cherrypicking much.

At one of my clubs we have a very ahem mature top earner. Hats off to her.

A while back I read something about how the age that is considered peak attractiveness for a woman has been dropping for a long time. 100 years ago a woman was thought to be most attractive at 34! Wish I could find that article again to share here...

Ever since I finished school, I've been told I look 5 years younger than I am. 26 at the moment and people currently guess me at 19-21. I've had some customers who liked that, but at the same time I've also been turned down by customers who were actually turned off by my babyface. ("Nah, you remind me of a little sister/daughter/etc"). Not everyone is into the "barely legal" thing.

27 is a great age to dance! You look young, you can sell yourself as barely legal or as 27, how you like!

Imo, after 40 and with wrinkles it's harder to do this job, saying by looking at women that age in my club. Customers often ask me why we have so old women, and they are def. doing less lap dances and making less money (in my club).

In a capitalist society, as long as you’re happy, healthy, and making a profit that’s all that truly matters. The white males system says that women are only good for sex and making babies- which is why younger equals hotter. Also, men (not all men but yes most men) like vulnerable women they can use, abuse, and discard. Because we literally make money by exploiting a weakness in the white male system, obviously we want to look young (or lie about our age) to make more money $$$.

I think being too old is societal programming from the white male system-that’s all. Obviously, use it to your own advantage, but for Gods sake don’t internalize the patriarchy into your psyche.

Think for yourself. What do you think is too old for you? Where do you want to be in life at what age? If you don’t want to be career dancer go to school. If you don’t care and just want to make money then keep taking your clothes off for money as long as men are willing to pay you.

Strippers by definition are women that live life on their own terms. I don’t know why any of us really give a fuck about what anyone thinks. That’s why we’re such bad asses.

All the top earners I know are over 40. The only wrinkles they have is when they fold their money. Meanwhile I see 22 year olds with gunts the size of Texas.

When men no longer consider you "hot". You can be hot well into your 50s ( J Lo, Pamela Andersen etc).

It depends entirely on the person. Some 20 y/o's look 40. Actually, that happens a lot

We got older women that kill it because their hustle is impeccable and they get botox/fillers done and keep up with their look/the trends and then we got girls that look like they just got out of the 90's/early 2000's and they look horrible BECAUSE they don't keep up with their look...

I agree with everyone else, as long as you look good, you're not too "old" to dance. Britney Spears is 37 and looks well into her 50s, J Lo is 50 and looks 35, so if you want to keep dancing into your 30s, 40s, and 50s, it's all a matter of how well you take care of yourself. Look at what someone like J Lo does to take care of themselves. She does the maintenance with plastic surgery, fillers, botox, etc., but she also takes phenomenal care of herself. Bad habits will catch up to you. The 3 biggest agers are cigarettes, sun, and stress because they destroy collagen. Sunscreen and moisturizer needs to be a religion, and that applies to your décolletage too. She doesn't drink, her diet is clean with no processed foods or sugars, she works her ass off in the gym.

Like ArielBriel said, it's also important to stay on top of the trends and keep your hair, makeup, and fashion current.

Genetics play a role in how you look, but the way you take care of yourself is huge. Very few people are destined to look haggard at 40 or 50 because of "bad genes". It's your lifestyle that is the biggest contributing factor in how you look. A lot of us here will say that the top earners in our clubs have been 30+ women and that's because their hustle is on point. There are a lot of women I've worked with who look better than the 20-yr-olds because they're not relying on youth, their looks are a result of their habits.

I love me some brittney spears but good gawd she ages HARD. Chainsmoking n walking barefoot in gas stations really took a toll on her physical looks. That plus I think she really don’t gaf

The top earners are usually the extra hot young broads who know how to work their youth to their advantage and the older broads who have refined their hustle to a T over the years.

ive seen some 40 year olds shaking that jelly

I love Britney too but she's an example of someone doing everything wrong with the Cheetos diet, smoking, drinking, drugs, ratty extensions, makeup that always looks like it was slept in from the night before, cheap looking clothes. I don't get it. You can easily still be bangin' at 37. She just looks tired. A lot of strippers fall victim to all of the above, too.

Kuddos if you're reaching 50 and still rolling in the that dough. If you still have the energy and the men are still opening their wallets... well quit whenever the fuck you feel like it and fuck the judgemental folks.

Not just only taking good care of yourself but confidence is very important too. Men love a confident woman.

Miley Cyrus is going down already too. She's mid twenties yet is looking more like she's mid thirties when I saw her in the music video for "Don't Call Me Angel" featuring Ariana Grande and Lana Del Rey. Heck, Lana Del Rey is 34 yet looks younger than Miley! I heard she has admitted to heavy partying and drugs from age 18-22 so that explains it.

There's a japanese blogger, Masako Mizutani, who is 50 but looks late 20s or early 30s at the most. She's never mentioned plastic surgery, but even if she''s secretly had some work done, plastic surgery and makeup can only go so far. She claims her "secrets" are staying out of the sun, avoiding red meat (she posts a lot of food pictures on instagram), she doesn't drink or do any drugs, and spends hours a day on skincare. Lifestyle and good genes.

yes, it's about lifestyle but you can also reverse to a point. I see the ones chain smoking at the club, drinking shots and doing bumps all night looking haggard and older.

I stopped drinking and smoking and it's almost like instant botox lol. The way your skin looks when you take care of yourself makes you look a couple years younger.

I'm team "if you look old, you're too old". I get second hand embarassment when I see a dancer with serious wrinkles. That also points to the fact that she doesn't make enough money to get Botox/facials, or invest in her looks. And that's when you need to exit.

I started at 26 and retired at 36 and even then I had men tell me I was too young for them (petite girl problems) I knew dancers older than me who banked. It really is just about how you look and if there is money to be made. By the time I retired average earnings in the club's had plummeted and I wasn't prepared to dance for £120 a night which seemed to be perfectly acceptable to the newer girls. Plus clubs had started the whole pile them high schtick; I just got sick of the business much as I liked the job.

Looks wise you can be older and still dance. But can you still mentally deal with it? Also late nights get harder when you get older. That was the difference I noticed. But you can def be an older dancer. I had someone tell me one time “you will have to start your entire life over once you’re 30.” Biggest lie anyone has ever told me.
