Title self explanatory. For work and in general. I love seeing people with such polished looks. I can't put my finger on it but it seems they pay attention to every last detail. Idk. I suck at putting together outfits so any advice is appreciated!

I [email protected] fashion mags, there's an online site I use, it's more for product tho, I'll post it when I find it.
I worry less tho when it's hot out
MANY MEN WANTED TO LAY ME DOWN, BUT FEW WANTED TO LIFT ME UP

Focus on your physical self first. Straighten your hair, get eyebrows done professionally, keep your teeth white, keep nails clean even and polished if you want. Wear simple clothes that are ironed, fit well and are comfortable. If you are uncomfortable and fidgety it shows. Wear subtle jewelry, if any.
"There are different kinds of darkness. There is darkness that frightens, the darkness that soothes, the darkness that is restful. There is the darkness of lovers, and the darkness of assassins. It becomes what the bearer wishes it to be, needs it to be. It is not wholly bad or good."
- The Court of Mist and Fury

So much of looking put together is just knowing 1) what you want to project - what your 'identity' is, if you will - what you feel good wearing, and 2) what looks good on you as far as cuts of clothing, colors, etc.
Example: I am some weird hybrid of a goth Stevie Nicks/AHS Coven witch + Veronica Lodge. Lots of black + darker purples/blues/greens + metals. I do not look great in bright pinks, yellows, etc. anywayI know what cuts of dresses & tops look best on my figure. Etc.
Figure that out. Anything that doesn't fit your style, TOSS or SELL IT. Marie Kondo that shit. It makes putting outfits together so much easier when most of your closet fits color & theme-wise. Same with makeup & jewelry.
If you need help in this area, I suggest Reddit's FemaleFashionAdvice forum or even Pinterest. Make boards of what you love & then go match your own closet to it.
Another favorite piece of advice for 'classy' outfits from the lovely Victoria Beckham: If you're showing lots of cleavage, you don't need to show leg. Vice versa. One thing at a time. I carry this over to 'statement' outfit pieces as well. If I'm wearing the over-the-knee stiletto boots, I am not wearing anything else dramatic. Usually the one item pulls the whole look together & more will ruin it.
Professionally done hair/nails/eyebrows can make you look good before anything else is touched. Keep up with coloring your hair, have it cut in a style that suits your face (goes a looong way & so many girls don't pay attention to what suits them). If you don't wanna pay for your nails, do them simply at home or don't touch 'em at all. Natural nails look better than chipped polish. Get your brows microbladed or have them threaded every 2 weeks.
"People jack off with the left hand and point with the right."
"You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave."
YouTube videos for glam makeup! Jaclyn Hill and Carli Bybel do real tutorials for glam looks that would work well in the club, IMO.
I'd recommend getting dental work if you can afford it - perfect teeth add SO much to a look. Most celebs have veneers to achieve that look, plus professional whitening.
Hair is a big deal, too. Learning what products work for you. Long, healthy hair is irresistible to customers.

The main points have been covered already so i will just add Good Posture!
Don't try to cut or color your own hair or do your own eyebrows. Always always always let a professional handle those things.
Work on things like your weight/fitness, skin, and teeth before worrying about clothes or makeup.
Wear a nice perfume.
If you're not that great at makeup it's better to just wear less and keep it simple instead of trying to do a really complicated full face and have it end up looking sloppy.

Additional protip- once you have your "dressed up" look down pat, figure out how to add to it in case you gain a bit of weight, or have other issues (like swelling from medication or needing to put your hair up for work.)
Also organize your dressing space and bathroom. (I'm still guilty of leaving a huge mess when I have too much going on. Keeping things organized helps in so many ways.)
The times of my life where I get the most compliments / am the most put together, starts in my closet.
If I'm living in a place with a closet that allows me to see all of my things at once- it works.
Display your jewelry, hang your hats, put your scarves somewhere visible, kon mari all your folded clothes and hang as much as you can. It makes waking up and creating an outfit way more fun and allows you to put more thought in it.
Otherwise, keep your nails clean, your hair cared for, and find a skincare routine that works for you. Drink water. Those are the secrets!

Yes it's true. Even if you giggle through Kon Marie's program, she has the right idea. Get rid of things you don't or won't wear, organize what you do use.
Also- get clothing altered if you lose weight. The secret to celebrities looking perfect in clothing is they often get free tailored outfits to promote designers. You rarely see a famous person in ill-fitting clothing. You can do minor alterations yourself by hand but others require a sewing machine and an expert.
