Default What are your favorite knee high boots?

Ive been resisting the knee high boot purchase for too long now due to my wide hips and chubby thighs (i have this perception that knee-high/thigh-high boots look good on thin or fit girls) but I NEED something to break the impact between my knees and the floor.

What are your favorite knee-high or thigh-high boots to dance in??

Pole work may be a bit tricky in these, they are very similar to a suede pair I had years ago but I can't seem to find them at the moment. I prefer a thicker heel because it provides better joint support IMO but they are so tough to find. I have only stilettos right now, but I am saving up for this pair and I will also be wearing these with them, along with thigh high socks https://www.discountdance.com/dancew...hoC79IQAvD_BwE

Ellie groove!! Lower heel plus platform. Pair with some black thicker thigh high socks folded down into knee high socks. Boom, instant knee pads.

I think anything Pleaser makes is way more comfy than most boots that Ellie is putting out.

"Strappy" style knee high boots look better on curvier girls than one solid color.

It depends on your feet! Ellie’s are for wider feet. I have wide feet and Pleasers are too narrow for me; I had bad foot pain the first few years of dancing before I learned this. Pleaser def has a huge variety of cute styles though whereas Ellie’s are more plain.

These are my go-tos. I wear knee pads underneath and never have bruised knees. They also stick to the pole amazingly. I do size up to avoid toe smash.

I totally agree that Pleaser definitely has the cutes variety to choose from.

thank you for all of these suggestions! Now im wondering if any of you think wearing kneepads on stage is weird or tacky? I dont wanna be that old bitch on stage but also like...MY KNEES.

My computer's acting up so I can't go grab a link, but

"gladiator style" straps. Cut out sections on the leg part of the boot. Makes it look racier, instead of "Miss Big Tall Boots"

Well, I linked the ones I have. Haven't gotten to try them out yet bc the last place I worked at was an upscale gown club and they basically told me they thought it looked trashy. I am kinda hesitant to wear them w/o boots or something to cover them, because I am a bit worried about customers thinking the same thing. I used to get a lot of nasty comments about 'spending so much time on my knees' when I danced with an ace bandage at a club that didn't allow tall boots. I don't mind the look of them myself, and we have to take care of our bodies. But we deal with enough shit from customers as it is.

The other suggestion I've seen on here is getting black puffy square-looking kneepads and wearing them as part of an athletic/referee getup.

That kind of blows my mind (the comments about being on your knees) - managers aren't as critical of stage dancing in my region, they just want you to make money.

There are compression sleeves you can get for knees that are thin- they can be hidden under knee socks...
