    Duh Dealing with period food cravings??? :(

    When I get my period I get SO hungry. I know everyone does but I end up binge eating to the point where it's super unhealthy and takes my weight a little while to recover. I feel like the rest of the month I eat pretty well, lean meats, healthy snacks... But as soon as I get my period it's like I CANT STOP eating anything in sight and always the most unhealthy stuff too. Any recommendations for foods or things that will curb my unhealthy period cravings?

    Home cooked popcorn with minimal seasonings, vegetables+Whatever to dip it in, etc, green smoothies, etc

    Also, I have to ask how do you eat the food? Do you chow it down while occupied with something else? Perhaps you can indulge in whatever unhealthy food there is, but close your eyes and allow it to sit in your mouth. Take in all the flavors slowly and have yourself to appreciate it to the highest extent.especially if there is any flavor nuances.

    I eat whatever the hell I'm craving. Otherwise, they won't go away & I'll end up eating way more than I intended on. This month's pms has me all fucked up lol. I've had chocolate cake last night, graham crackers & peanut butter, soda (like mad), and fast food.

    If you can handle spice Cayenne Pepper has helped me quite a bit. I add it to eggs, popcorn... anything.

    I get where like I can't stop. I'll have a whole meal of something bad for me and then want to eat more. It's not that I'm hungry it's that I'm like, craving to eat??? But I like the eat really slowly one, that might really make a difference! I try to stick to healthy options when I'm busy at work like veggies and hummus, but when I'm home it's short of cuffing myself to the couch so I don't drive to sonic or smthing lmao
