    Default Enjoyable vacation spots

What are some of your favorite vacation spots you've gone on? Looking to plan something with friend who also just left her husband like myself. We are looking for something not to expensive but something where we can actually enjoy our selves with some night life & day time activities.

I'm in the USA if it matters. Not against going to other parts of America but not over seas.

Have a few things in mind but want to be open minded.

When are you planning on going on your trip? And what sort of weather do you want to endure?

I recommend NYC or Philly during Christmas. Or DC. But it will be cold if you go during the winter. I go for the shopping and all the shows. You can plan a trip to Philly and take a 90 min train into NYC to save money.

For warm weather I recommend Orlando, South Florida, Austin and San Diego. Virgina Beach is also nice and has a lot going on and not expensive at all!

I haven't been yet, but I'm doing some research on Roatan Island in the Carribeans off the coast of Honduras. It looks great.

I've never been to South Padre but I have spent some time in Galveston. It was okay but I prefer Virgina Beach because you can experience a lazy beach town vibe one day and then major city action on the next. Honestly there are Sooo many places right here in the US to sneak away to. What's South Padre like?

It depends on what kind of weather you like. San Diego is nice.. warm, sunny weather and beaches. I've heard Myrtle Beach is nice too but I've never been there yet.

I love the west coast of Florida, like Clearwater or Fort Myers!

Hmmm. I think a lot of places would fit that bill of nightlife and daytime activities. So I’m just going to focus on cost cutting.

*Do you use Facebook? You could look into if there’s a flight tracker for your city that monitors when flights to other cities are cheap. And have that set to “see first in my timeline” Otherwise, if not social media, there should be a blog or website that does the same thing.

*When you find a city, I’d recommend looking into Groupon to see what’s on there. Sometimes you will find a nice tourist attraction in there.

*Also, Airbnb’s are nice. xD I recommend looking for a listing from a “superhost”

If you want sunny at this time of year, California or Florida. If you want a cheap contemplative paradise, Chincoteague Island, VA go there and watch the wild horses on the beach. You can walk for miles on the beach seeing only a few people. Party? NYC is great in the fall, or Miami.

We went to Cancun in January and we enjoyed our 12 days! Could easily go there another time.

But it’s hard to recommend vacation spots since it totally depends what kind of vacation you like. Give me a decent hotel, nice weather and access to a sun bed and I will be happy

I think we want something on east coast with night life and beaches although might be to cold for that now. Maybe at least warm enough to layout.

We are actually looking into a cruise too.

I don't know where you're located but a road trip could be a good idea. Start north and drive down to Miami to catch a cruise. Cruises are super cheap down here. You can get a cheap three day cruise out of Miami for $200. It won't have all the bells and whistles but it'll get you there. The Space Coast also has a port, it may be even cheaper.

I love cruises & we are considering it. Problem is the friend I'd go with is more on the conservative "party pooper" side lol She can do some night life because she'll just get on her phone while I go dancing but cruises she didn't like how i acted last night haha I need to like find a cruise that has stuff for her to do at night. She acts like it will be different this time but iDK

If warm weather is a non-negotiable, I definitely recommend FL. All of our cities have their own vibe. Miami is great, there are always things going on at night, even if your friend isn't into partying. As mentioned, there are several cruise ports here and you could easily do a couple days for under $500 per person. You could also do Virginia, or maybe Georgia. Savannah is pretty fun and not far from that is Tybee Island. I like NOLA. Tons to do there. I'm actually going in a couple of weeks.

Are you going right away? I’m in Naples FL and we have like 85-90 nowadays. There are day’s with showers, but those are mainly in the afternoon.
