There’s someone who lives in the neighborhood next to me who used to be a naval aviator, and I recently had to sit through a tirade of his about this movie. How Maverick would have to have been passed up for promotion enough times to have been put out, he never would’ve survived the fallout from the Tailhook ‘91 scandal, etc.

I think he's taking the movie a little too seriously. It's meant to be entertainment, not a documentary.
I so don't care about this new recruitment video posing as a movie.

LMAO! Especially COB's comment..
But, WHY did you HAVE to sit thru that, I'd have gotten up & walked off.
& TC is just too old for this now, but whatever!Though he looks great.
& one more thing, I love (going to look it up, if it's around) the time TC was on a red carpet, someone came up w/a mic to interview him, it was fake & it squirted water in his face! LMAO!
Of course, his bodyguard jumped in there.![]()

No, it’s not a serger… a regular sewing machine. Nice one, though. Singer. It’s mostly been my sister who’s been using it.

Well, three of us certainly know how to, both by hand and by machine, though one had only ever used a manually powered one, so the speed of an electric machine is a bit of an adjustment. And then four if you count my friend from the community.
Come to think of it, that gives me an idea. I’ve been thinking about what to do with the room above the garage. My first thought was to make it into a bedroom, but on second thought, it might be a good space for a sweatshop.
I could start an organization for young women from Anabaptist communities who feel stranded in the English world… their toil can be compensation for their upkeep. I’d need a catchy name for it, though. Do you think “Peoples Temple” has a nice ring to it?
Good, I have my exit plan from stripping now.

I think Peoples Temple has already been used.

I know that. That was part of the big funny. Although what I posted was a redacted version… the original made references to a lot of other events which would’ve made it more obvious.
