    Default First day stories!

So I finished my first night last night and I decided to share some talking points about it. I also thought it'd be awesome to hear any stories from the rest of you guys about your first time as well, vets and baby strippers alike. One of the things I found myself doing before my own first night was reading other people's first time experiences; It helped make me feel better and reminded me that everyone starts somewhere.

Anyhow, so I walk up to the club entrance and show them my dance card and id, letting them know I'm there to audition. They escort me to the dressing room; I get ready and house mama asks me my stage name and walks me out to the floor, and tells me I go on in two songs. My heart jumped into my throat because I'm watching these other girls ahead of me do all these awesome pole tricks and floor work and I'm just like "..oh no." All I could think was I was gonna fall flat on my face tripping over my heels. When the DJ called me he let the audience know I was new, which made me feel a little better. Should I mess up they might write it off as cute newbie stuff. I get up on stage and start doing whatever I can do, gyrating, thrusting and swaying my hips to the beat, all the while thinking "I'm so out of shape!" But I got through that first 3 song set and walked away with a good handful of cash. I didn't do anything fancy and just did my best to look confident and in the end I think the support of the customers knowing I was fresh is what made the difference. I even had quite a few not believe for a second I was new!

I ended up staying for the whole night from 8:30 to 2am, which I was not prepared for, but I survived it and by the end of the night I managed to bring back almost 600! Now my goal is to start taking pole and floor lessons to boost my confidence on stage as well as start working out more so I am not so tired halfway through the night!

So ladies, please share with me your own first night stories, I'd love to hear them!

Hope the bruises aren’t too bad and heal up soon. And that’s awesome, congrats on an awesome shift

My first shift ever, I was with a friend at a small club. She gave me moral support and chased out a customer who tried getting handsy with me. And there was a small group of military guys there, and one of them was gay,but was buying dances for his friends. At that club, we had a lot more control over our music selection than most other places. I asked the table if they had any requests for me, and as a joke the gay guy said “Slayer”. (Heavy metal music) I went along with it and requested that to the DJ and he looked at me open mouthed and said “are you fucking kidding me”...but he played it. I got an awesome stage tip for that.

Later on that night, the gay guy told me “you’re too sweet to be a dancer. You should probably be a bartender or something” But that was almost four years ago and I’m still at it.

I started at a lap dance club so I knew it was more 1 on 1. I got dressed (i was already hired) and went out and said hi to random guys. One of the girls I knew there called me over and we both took 2 guys back to give them lap dances. That was really a relief because I was able to get broke in to doing dances. I gave the first guy a few dances in after that just felt more comfortable.

Thank you, but oh man my bruises are actually quite awful looking. It's funny they actually LOOK much worse than they feel, they're only a small bit tender. I've been using Arnica lotion and soaking my legs to try and mitigate it some. Luckily, fishnets hides a lot and I'm about to buy some knee pads to save myself the trouble later as well.

And thanks both of you for these great stories. I liked the bit about the DJ giving you a funny look for the Slayer music request Stella. I love dancing to more alternative songs personally; I actually requested rock and heavier things from my DJ like Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, etc.

I was SO nervous I almost didn't make it in the door. I wore a mini skirt and tank top and bra which I figured was more to take off during my stage show. I was unprepared and didn't have my music picked out or a bandana. Another dancer was kind enough to go on stage with me my first time on a Monday. I ended up walking away with $180 in 4 hours and decided I'd keep going but wear less clothes :-P

The first club I ever worked at was actually really supportive, a couple veterans took me in and showed me how to do a lap dance, although they laughed the whole time because I looked so dumb but it wasn't in a mean way and we had a lot of fun. I remember when I did my first stage set they gathered up some other girls and threw a handful of ones at me, it was really cute tbh. I haven't ever worked at a club where the girls were as friendly as that one again, but I try really hard to give that same sort of encouragement to baby strippers because this job is scary when you're new. That was almost five years ago by now.

Thanks so much! I admit I was freaked out at first but once I got started it felt much better. I was determined to get through it and now I can't wait for the holidays to be over so my schedule clears enough to go more often!

You're the kinda person I love, and I hope to be this person too one day. Even if we're all competing I feel like it doesn't mean you have to be an enemy to people. I'm withholding my trust for now, but many of the girls I did speak to that evening were very sweet to me so I hope that continues.

Never forget my first night. It was so bad and good in so many different ways. The night started horribly. Barely got to the club on time bc of a stupid train. Hurried to get ready only to find I forgot all my thongs I was going to pack. Don't know how, I swear I checked my bag 10x... The club required some type of bottoms to be worn, so I didn't have much choice but to go with the ones I was wearing - cotton red ones. One girl offered to sell me a g-string for $50... So had to totally change my thoughts for outfits - ended up just wearing a tartan skirt, bra and panties whole night. So first heart attack... I tripped going up on stage, for my first set the dj didn't play my music i requested and ended up playing for one song Adam Sandler's piece of shit car... I don't know how the F you dance to that... I felt like crying, but I think the peeps felt bad for me and tipped well on stage. Coming down from the stage a good looking young guy wanted to buy a dance He bought 3 songs. So we went to the backroom and i could just smell the liquor on his breathe. Around the end of the 2nd song, he puked on my shoes... he felt so bad, he gave me all the cash he had in his pocket which was $80. I took the cash and ran to the dressing room trying not to cry and/or vomit. The rest of the night went ok, but for the random bruises I couldn't explain. Made good cash the first night at least.

Oh my goodness Kari! And I thought my one wardrobe malfunction I had on stage was bad. Unbeknownst to me my thong came untied on the side and house mama had to rush over and inform me; our club is topless only! But man you're tough, you made it through! That's a crazy first night, thanks for sharing.

First time I went to try, I went to audition in another city during the day shift. A girl I knew took me there. There were like 2 customers on the floor and I came up to one and asked for a dance. I told him it was my first night, he said no to a dance but gave me a $1 pity bill. I went back to the dressing room crying, gave that dollar to the housenom and left. 6 months(!) later I built up the courage again and only because another girl took me to a club. So I got dressed, it was busy, I was very nervous. The girl I came with told me to have a drink but I was saying "no, I can't do this, I am going to go home". Next thing I know, the DJ calls me to stage. I didn't have time to think so I went. Next thing I know, as soon as I remove my top, I have people rushing to the stage, and ine guy hands me a $20 bill and says come dance for my girlfriend when you are done. So my first dance wss for another woman. While I was dancing for her, the DJ annouced "two for one", and I had literally dozens of couples and Mexican customers lining up to get a dance from me. I was busy all night, I think I lucked out to be there on a busy night but the "two for one" probably help to get me occupied lol
