I got new shoes online and I tried them on and my toes stick out a bit. I thought i was a size 6 because that's the size i use when I rent from my pole studio (but I wear socks there). What do you think?

Honestly they look fine to me. I intentionally buy my shoes a little smaller because they tend to stretch as you use them; too big has them flopping around on your foot and you're more likely to trip in them. You want them a little snug. If they feel just TOO tight you can break them in a little by taking a hair dryer to them to mold them to your foot a bit better!
Thanks for your reply! You might be right. Do you think wearing socks in them often will help stretch them out too?
I think I'm gonna go to an adult store and try on a size 7 just in case that fits better!![]()
Those look totally fine! I have seen "cliffhangers" and your are definitely not that. Cute shoes!
Thank you for your help! Another quick question... the size 6 (pictured) do seem pretty tight in the toe area, and my toes feel like they're hanging off a bit. But will that change when I use thick socks and a blow dryer?
I just went to an adult store to try on the next size up and they seem to fit so much better length wise. But the toe area could be a little tighter. Do you still think size 6 is best?

The toe are is the area that gets the most pressure, so they will get broken in with time/hairdryer trick.![]()
In this situation I might recommend some Dr. Scholl's ball of foot cushions. They add a little padding under the ball of the foot plus prevent the foot from slipping around. I have bought many many pairs of those in my dancer career. They make any shoe more comfy, too.
Do you do this for shoes that are too loose in the toe area?
Yes because it helps fill in a bit of space. But I also use them even if the shoe is not too loose. Because they are soooo comfy

Those seems to be pretty much the perfect size. If you feel like they doesn’t have a good fit, try putting them in warm water, or heat them gently with a heat gun/hair dryer before you put them on.
