    Default PussyCash security breach

    https://www.vpnmentor.com/blog/report-pussycash-leak/

The vpnMentor cybersecurity research team, led by Noam Rotem and Ran Locar, have uncovered a leaking S3 Bucket with 19.95GB of visible data on a Virginia-based Amazon server, belonging to PussyCash and its network.

PussyCash is an explicit ‘cam’ affiliate network that owns the brand ImLive and other similar adult-oriented websites. This leak has exposed the personal data and likeness of over 4,000 models among more than 875,000 files and has high-risk, real life implications for said models.

    PussyCash Company Profile
The owner of ImLive and PussyCash is officially listed as I.M.L. SLU, a company registered in Andorra.

PussyCash hosts affiliation programs for multiple adult sites, paying webmasters for traffic sent to the sites through banners and exit traffic. They boast 66 million registered members on their webcam chat arena, ImLive, alone. Other sites include Sexier.com, FetishGalaxy, Supermen.com, Shemale.com, CamsCreative.center, forgetvanilla.com, idesires.com, Phonemates.com, SuperTrip.com, and sex.sex, among others.

Partners listed on the PussyCash website include BeNaughty, Xtube, and Pornhub.

I added some context to your post because sometimes people don't always click through. I just got an email about this. Pussycash was the first affiliate program I ever signed up for. They've been around for a long time. If this is true...

Unfortunately that article is pure speculative bullshit. I can't imagine a scenario where a cammodel would submit her marriage certificate to an affiliate site, among many examples of completely scammy reporting there. Its a far cry to say that somehow they had model information when it was their affiliate program that was hit. I think the cyber-security industry is actually worse than the hackers they're "protecting" you from. Oh, and then they top it off by saying how IMLive is ignoring them, poor things.

Yes, it is a big deal that Pussycash got hit, and some relevant things may be on the dark web, but nowhere near the scale its speculating. I already assume everything of mine is already there.

Yes! That article goes on and on showing different types of verification methods. Methods that I've never seen used before. What confuses me is how at the beginning they said they opted to not dig into the files...but further down there's screenshots of bankcard found in the leak? Which one is it?

The BBC is reporting on it too.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/technology-51119845

. Cyber-security researchers claim that highly sensitive personal details about thousands of porn stars have been exposed online by an adult website.

They told BBC News they had found an open folder on PussyCash's Amazon web server that contained 875,000 files.

The live webcam porn network, which owns the brand ImLive and other adult websites, said there was no evidence anyone else had accessed the folder.

And it had it removed public access as soon as it had been told of the leak.

The researchers are from vpnMentor, which is a VPN comparison site.

"Privacy and the protection of user data is a top priority and concern for us," PussyCash said.

"For this reason, we acted promptly and removed public access to the open folder as soon as vpnMentor alerted us to this fact."

    'Public humiliation'
But vpnMentor said in a blog anyone with the right link could have accessed 19.95GB of data dating back over 15 years as well as from the past few weeks, including contracts revealing more than 4,000 models':

    full name
    address
    social-security number
    date of birth
    phone number
    height
    weight
    hips, bust and waist measurements
    piercings
    tattoos
    scars

The files also revealed scans or photographs of their:

The models were mainly from North America but also from Latin America, the Czech Republic and Hungary, vpnMentor said.

And the leak represented a potentially "severe threat" of identity theft, scams, public humiliation, blackmail, extortion, stalking, job loss, and embarrassment that could "could very well ruin" their lives.

"This is really alarming," said David Emm, a senior security researcher at Kaspersky Lab. "There's a lot of very sensitive information involved, leaving the people affected by it open to a combination of ID theft and extortion.

"It could also leave people feeling the way you do when a burglar has forced entry to your home and you know they've been through intimate aspects of your life."

This is the latest incident where a company has failed to protect data on a server properly.

The post about how there are videos & screen shots of video chats is perfect blackmail material.

The Data breach over all is majorly concerning & how Imlive did not have more security in place to protect everyone's IDs & such.

I'm thinking since media just picked up on this now. That means imlive hasn't been protecting their information for a long time.

I gave up working imlive because of the payment options being stuck with paxum. For me data being leaked porn wikileaks was still the worst scare for me.

I am reacting to this the same I did with capital one. They are sorry and not sorry this happened and here is a nothing to make you feel better offer.

Does this affect the models working under BM's studio for Imlive as well?

I couldn't say. If its just Pussycash, then no, not specifically unless you signed up for Pussycash separately (which we don't support). The only way this is relevant is if IMLive was especially dumb (and I pray they weren't) and cross-referenced their model database with their affiliate database.

All the stuff with the "model release forms" points to either side projects or their own internal photo shoots for promo material, which also wouldn't effect us.

Regardless, we had already removed IMLive from active signups since a month ago. We'll continue servicing accounts that are already on there.

A statement from Pussycash before they took the site offline. I can't even access my dashboard anymore.

Nowadays a lot these data breaches and leaks happen unfortunately. I can't understand why the platforms etc. don't protect the data of their customers better. I for me decided to be a lot careful. I use a password manager, 2FA wherever possible and also a VPN. Was a little bit annoying first but this helps me stay anonymous and nobody can follow my internet activites - at least that's what they promise here https://vpn-anbieter-vergleich-test.de/nordvpn/ . But I really believe it helps me and makes me safer! You should consider this too.
