Default Places that are not travel friendly

So were there certain cities/clubs that were never travel friendly to begin with, and it's been like that for ages? Or is this a new trend? (This doesn't just apply to Denver fyi which seems to be the most well known for this type of bs)

    I am just wondering.

There's a bunch of places that straight up on the phone have zero interest in out of town girls it seems.

I'm sure some girls get around it in some ways sometimes- but this sure makes traveling a lot more of a royal pita.

    Denver.
    San Francisco .

You need a fake # and fake local address at both for sure.

I don't really consider Vegas * that * travel friendly either due to the slow starts ( often killing an entire day to get paperwork ) unless you are staying a week or more.

Hmm not travel friendly cause of license:

Dallas—Maybe?? Maybe not? I had to wait for my bio verify check to clear before working at Baby Dolls.I’ve heard of other girls being able to start right away after they paid tho. Idk if it’s a haphazard enforcement thing because of legal environment or cause it was me.
Nashville—$150 license and have a limited window. Twice a month at a particular short time slot, have to meet a Nashville bureaucrat in person when getting a license.
    ——
Not travel friendly just because it’s a pain-in-the-ass:

Oregon. All over. Either they are explicit they don’t want travelers or they do weird stuff. Such as carefully controlled schedules and you have to develop enough of a pretense to get shifts you want. (Quite a few clubs) Or my favorite was one small town where you call to speak to a manager at 7pm to *schedule* an audition.

The most travel friendly club I can think of in that state is the Golden Dragon in Portland but I’d only recommend it if you’re a baby faced young dancer.

The Portland small neighborhood clubs seem a bit nicer, but you still gotta wait for the upcoming week to get fit into a schedule in a lot of those places.
    ——
Not travel friendly because of being freaking employees:

Entire state of California. (I’ve heard rumors of the Sacramento area trying to create a licensing thing as a loophole to keep dancers IC? Idk if that’s true at all tho)

    Kansas City, Missouri

    Springfield, Missouri

Rick’s in Minneapolis I’ve heard does it just cause they feel like it. But then again Minneapolis hates travelers in general. Ironically, the one club there that’s most travel friendly is the one with the most defined club culture I’ve ever encountered. (Girls who have worked there tend to either love or hate that place) And that club isn’t afraid to fire girls for not fitting in.
    ——

    Individual club MO:

I’ve heard secondhand that St James in Houston is like that? Can neither confirm nor deny that tho.

The Yellow Rose in Austin is def far less travel friendly than in years past. It’s a small club tho.

I heard Palazio in Austin is getting to be a similar way? Can neither confirm nor deny tho.

    ———

Also, do we want to get more specific and make this between clubs that will take you, but may question whether or not you’re moving there when auditioning. Versus the ones who just judge you based on will hire/won’t hire and don’t really care?

Well were some of these places that are weird about travelers now always that way...or say 5-10 years ago it was super easy to travel there and work same night and they didn't gaf you are from out of town?

I am thinking this travel unfriendliness perhaps has something to do with 9999999999 clubs shutting down and a lot of girls cannot or refuse to quit stripping so they crowd into what is left. I could be wrong. I've not been doing this that long, and this is speculation.

I am aware that some travel unfriendly areas maybe won't hire most openly traveling girls but will make an exception here and there. But I still wouldn't say that is a "travel friendly" club.

I also find what a lot of girls on here say about saying you just moved somewhere to get hired some places is bullshit. Some clubs are straight up- if you don't have a driver's license that is local to there goodbye and kindly please fuck off until you have your documents straightened out.

That advice only works for a few places, but most places are like nope if you just moved here you'd have the local license or be able to get it shortly. At least in my experience. I have not tried Denver as I've been warned off.

And yes there are all kinds of reasons some places are not travel friendly- thanks for pointing that out. These fuckass licenses are killer imo unless somebody really wants to invest a lot of time working somewhere in particular.

Off topic: I've heard the same thing about that place in the twin cities with them just randomly firing girls like that which I think is fucked up if that is their whole livelihood.

Ah. Yeah I think it’s increasingly unfriendly in growth cities known to be fun to live. Especially where ever Californians go. And of course San Fran has Silicon Valley and Denver has been a long standing growth area.

I get the impression Portland and Austin used to be easier getting hired for at nicer, better money clubs. (But still easy enough in the midtier and down clubs even to this day). Both cities def are full of Californian transplants. Can’t speak for Portland but what I can say is that Austin was definitely nicer when it was more the California customers than dancers—the clubs that don’t cater to the transplants as much and are more for local Austinites are def more dirty. But then the market corrected and Austin became a hotspot for dancers. Which to be fair, Austin has a lot of things going for it—such as one of the best cuts on high priced VIP rooms I’ve ever heard. And house/tip out that’s cheap compared to income potential (doesn’t hurt that a lot of Cubans left the area—still there but lower amounts than in the past). But yeah it’s upped the number of club BS there and I think even managers want to control the mayhem now, especially for lower money times of the year. I’m hoping that the market corrects even more tho and Dallas and especially Houston start upping their standards and being less “dirty” like Austin has for decent money. And just making it less of a battle there. But there’s no such thing as a perfect club and pick your poison lol.

I think it was Selina M that talked about Arizona clubs getting more flooded? On the other aide of the spectrum,I’ve heard more complaining about it getting harder to get hired anywhere in Phoenix. Idk much firsthand tho.

Clubs in Indianapolis Indiana want local Driver's Licenses/addresses.

    Also- Manhattan, NY

& My experience is girls from Arizona were crazy rude to me the last time I worked. AZ is filling up with people from other places so that might be part of it. FWIW AZ doesn't seem like a place you could get rich dancing.

Wow, I’ve heard about Indianapolis. Forgot to list it in here tho. I didn’t know that about Manhattan. :o Granted, it seems like it would take time to build relationships with the hosts and navigate all of what seems like club politics and so probably fair to reject outsider IDs from the start.

I lowkey would like to add Atl to the list bc of the license and if u are a skinny, slim BW, esp darkskin, that prefers to be at white/mixed clubs, u should just skip ATL altogether...

I came to Minneapolis this week and most defiantly would have stayed home in Atlanta if I would have seen this. My experience in Atlanta is we are travel friendly but limited in gentleman's club. So if your upscale dancer or spinner type then you competition is high and may not get hired before your trip ends. I encourage all big booty stripper to try as long as you have 200 for a license.

When I went to Dallas this past Feb for super bowl. I had issues auditioning but not due to my GA license but because they were full at most clubs. I ended up getting hired a DGs the same day and was able to get my license and work that night. I think like 150 and the local permit office stays open until 11pm so if you get a early head start then you should be able to work same day.

    ^ I would say it's a *challenge* as well. ^
It can be done for sure but the slow starting and awkward needing to wait a night ...... BLEH.

Hotel prices also PEAK in extremes when there are conventions in town AND weekends ( the times you want to be there , ha ) !
I work a little more in Vegas now but I have local friends to stay with and rarely get hotels . It would really burn profits up. Bring three girls to share a room I guess . :/

Damn I just hate places that are not traveler friendly.
    :/
This is why I have " just moved " to so many cities lol.

I just don't see it I guess because travelers provide fresh faces .... isn't what that what the guys want to see instead of the same girls over and over ?
    I just don't get it.

^ I totally feel ya ugh, so annoying. I made the best $ when I traveled.
This is another reason I'm glad I quit dancing & work online only now. No more bs to deal with. Roll up to any city I want & off to work I go

In general, i would say that larger clubs are a better bet, but even that rule of thumb has plenty of exceptions, I'm sure.
