Default Stripperwear Questions From a Newbie:

I've combed a lot of newbie threads, stripperwear threads, stripperwear for newbies threads, but a few questions, for me, have still lingered.

Obviously in the case of full nude/topless clubs, your dance wear needs to be able to be removed fairly easily, and I've seen that mentioned. However, I haven't seen many tips on how to find easy to remove lingerie/dancewear. Short of suggesting things that secure with a tie, what kind of closure mechanisms should I be looking for that will likely be easy to remove in a dance setting? I've tried shopping for primarily tie-closure garments, or front closure bras for example, but I find that none of what I see available really fits my aesthetic or would be flattering to my body type.

Which leads me to my next question, which is what to do when the existing trends in dancewear really don't look good on you. I'm a pale redhead, and relatively small-chested. Those qualities seem to zap a LARGE percentage of dancewear options just because it doesn't look good on me (neons and animal prints look cheap and out of place with my overall coloring, and slingshots/one-pieces and many of the popular cuts of tops minimize my chest a LOT). I love lingerie, and I find tons that looks good on me...but I generally feel most of it wouldn't exactly fit/be functional in a club setting, and it also tends to be rather monotonous in the sense that everything I own is comprised of maybe 3 main colors (black, light pinks, and darks like burgundy/navy). Something tells me that that kind of vibe just wouldn't be enough to stand out in a club setting. I don't want to look bland or, as I read one user describe it "just your girlfriend if she tried".

I also wonder about the usability of specific items, or advice about wearing them. Would you recommend or discourage the use of a waist-cincher or corset in a club outfit? Something such as an underbust or waspie that could be worn regardless of removal of top/bottoms. Or have you noticed customers like/dislike them, or find them impractical? How do you maneuver with wearing a garter belt, do you simply wear your underwear over it, do you recommend against them?

These questions may seem stupid/silly, and perhaps it's because they seem silly that I haven't been able to find answers thus far. I'm just trying to develop and hone my outfits/aesthetic for beginning dancing, and I seem to run into these hurdles.

If it matters at all, I would describe my aesthetic when it comes to apparel/lingerie as a combination of a classic/pinup/burlesque concept with a subtle BDSM influence. So if anyone has specific advise about translating that into dancewear, that would be a MAJOR bonus.

Most hustlers don't waste money on outfits. Get one favourite you feel is flattering to you. Redheads look good in red, emerald green, and turquoise. Different clubs have different rules - there's point in buying anything until you know what they are. For example, if you're working at a gown club, anything that isn't a gown is a waste of money. When you contact them to arrange an audition ask about the dress code. Don't worry about having something that complies with the dress code for the audition, they really just want to see your body so lingerie will let them see it.

    The corset of misery

My first night I wore this $300 corset that I had, which looked great on me. But I never wore it again coz it took forever to get on and off. Any corset with a busk front - the little silver clasps is a no. Zips is fine. A whole row of eye hooks on a bustier - wastes too much time getting it back on.

Things women love that men couldn't care less about on strippers - burlesque/ pinup. They don't get it and you look like you think you're better than the other strippers.

On your wife/gf it's a good amount of sexy to demure. On a stripper it's boring.

Actual dance wear is much more comfortable and cuter than lingerie. I am a regular of Malaya’s Exotic Wear (search on IG) and have also ordered from Golddiggers Boutique (IG) both are fast shipping and high quality. Yandy also does have cute stuff but be wary some stuff will be cheap and Ill fitting.
You definitely want more than 1 outfit but don’t have to splurge too much. Get 1 outfit for each day you work a week...

Only bring one outfit in with you, otherwise it's easy to get caught up with the idea that if you're not making money, a change of outfit might help you make money. Then every time it's slow you're going to be spending time changing outfits, and you're in and out of the dressing room all nigt, instead of being on the floor because you know your hustle is the only thing that makes money.

If you wear stockings, they will be ruined by the end of your shift. Fishnets look okay with holes in them, but nobody bothers after the first or second attempt at wearing stockings - too expensive, save them for not work. Some girls wear garter belts without stockings, especially if they want to cover a bit of time, and over a skimpy thong (eg string t-back) so you have another layer to take off / aren't giving it away for free on the floor.

If you leave something on during a dance that covers your stomach, but take off your panties and bra, men will assume you're self conscious about your belly/ stretch marks after having a child/ren. I once asked a dancer with belly stretch marks how many kids she had. Bad move - she had a stillborn baby. I felt awful.
