    Default Emergency Money Act

    https://timryan.house.gov/media/pres...send-americans

The Emergency Money for the People Act expands relief to more Americans and includes a $2,000 monthly payment to every qualifying American over the age of 16 until employment returns to pre-COVID-19 levels. It also fixes a bug in the CARES Act to ensure college students and adults with disabilities can still receive the payments even if claimed as a dependent. The Emergency Money for the People Act additionally recognizes that not everyone has a bank or a home address to receive a check – so it allows individuals to get this money through direct deposit, check, pre-paid debit card, or mobile money platforms such as Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal.

Damn I might even try it then.

I'm on salary and this pandemic has not affected me financially at all, besides allowing me to buy into stocks at a crazy low level. I received the first stimulus, because I was deployed in 2018 and my tax free pay gave me an AGI low enough to qualify for the full amount. If they start adding 2K a month though, I might start feeling kinda bad about taking it...

Considering what some tax money is wasted on, nobody should feel that way. The economy being fucked like it is will likely affect us all eventually, if not now, in the future.

I really hope that passes. I see that a lot other countries are giving their citizens way more help in this crisis than the US has been.
