    Default Accountability Support

I looked around and didnt see any threads for offering support and accountability to lose weight / get in shape / whatever the fitness goal may be.

I am completely and totally losing grip of my weight right about now...I already needed to lose some weight, but from sitting around at home and ordering Ubereats all the time, my weight is on a speedrun to the top. I've been trying to watch what I eat and exercise, but my motivation level is in the pits. So thought Id reach out and see if anyone else would be interested in a daily check in to help get and stay on track

When this crisis is over, I'd like to at least be able to say I worked hard at something and have the body as proof of that

Omg yes please I need HELP. After dinner I still ate a quesadilla and a cupcake and two sausages and some cheese, and white wine. This has been a nightly thing for like 3 weeks now: a couple hours after dinner, I crave salt and fat and sugar like never before in my life.

If I can swing 20 minutes of movement a day 3-4 days a week, and no snacking after dinner, I will count that as a win. Please dear GAWD. Someone save me from myself it's a good thing I am living in sweats because I doubt my jeans fit me right now. Just zero motivation. Ugh...

What helps me from eating too much is just finding something to do and not going near the kitchen until my stomach is telling me I have to eat.

    Also long walks.

Awesome! Yeah, I feel all of y'all, the urge is so strong, Im sure Im eating out of boredom. Even with ordering food, Im not particularly hungry but the process of placing and waiting for the order is something to do. And I cant afford to keep doing that either. I'm pretty sure Im about to lose my job soon so I need to hold onto every dollar Ive got, not eat it all lol So need to work on resisting the urge.

I have about 25lbs to lose...well, more than that lol but its a start and I still liked where I was at that weight.

Last night I dug up my old Army physical training book and planned out a routine with stretches, calisthenics and will do a ride on my stationary bike or go for a walk for 20m afterwards. Wish I could run but my knees are messed up. Plan to start today, so wish me luck

Everyone think of a plan or goal, that way we can check in and keep each other on track!

I was doing very well until all this virus stuff happened. I work from home so it shouldn't affect me but having my husband around all the time (and eating all the time) makes me follow his example. NOT GOOD. I haven't gained, but I was actively losing before, so this is a major set-back for me. I am thinking about doing an extended fast starting tonight....Idk, though....

Oh that sucks, if only it could work the other way around, that the person who is eating healthier rubs off on the one that isnt. But it never seems to work out that way!

Ive done a fast before, well, it was that lemon cayanne cleanse thing. It worked out pretty well for a couple days, then I broke it by drinking the lemon cayanne with a burger. Jeez, Im nuts LOL If you want I can check in with you tomm to see if you started the fast or started a plan for one.

I just finished my workout btw!!! Did the stretches and calisthenics, but only 10m on the bike. Still proud of myself for getting moving.

Indeed, just read through it and looks like a more general conversation about fitness and diet, which is great.. Will def see about posting in there about that now that you got that convo started again.

So I will end up with around 1038 calories for the day today. I am very short (five foot nothing) so I can't go much over 1000 if I want to lose weight. It's a long grind...

This thread feels more related to accountability and support given the current quarantine/pandemic situation so I for one am glad there is a thread more focused on coping during these circumstances.

I managed a 40 min walk today which is good because I was food binging at 1am again. Trying to just pay more attention: if and when I eat salty fatty snacks, can I slow down and fully enjoy and be present while I do so... and pay attention to when I feel "satisfied".

Yup, definitely I have in mind a focus on being able to log our goals / successes / and hold each other accountable. It can really help guide us when we know someone will ask about and report in too

Really good you went for that walk...I really need to too but I've been so nervous about going outside, for no dang reason really. I know logically its safe to, and I love going on walks, but haven't been able to bring myself to do it esp with everyone walking around with masks on. Putting that on my goal list...go outside! Thats a good idea too to slow down and really enjoy what you're eating. Its so easy to get in the trap of scarfing something down..like jeez, at least make the calories count for something and savor every bite right?!

I did my stretches and calisthenics this morning, but havn't gotten on my stationary bike yet. Now inspired to try and go for a walk instead now though.

I did my stretches around midnight so does that count for today? I didnt feel like cooking my pizza yesterday (lazy) so I skipped dinner. Woke up at 5am and air popped popcorn with spray butter and a little movie salt. We did cook today. Pepperoni veggie white pizza. Yum! 80oz of water. I just wish I had the want to go a more rigorous workout.

Today's workout (Part of the FB Burn program)

    Warm up & cardio https://www.fitnessblender.com/video...-modifications

Abs workout (it was abs day) https://www.fitnessblender.com/video...me-abs-workout

    Cool down and stretch https://www.fitnessblender.com/video...or-busy-people

Extra credit challenge (I will do it after I finish work) https://www.fitnessblender.com/video...cardio-workout

I have been pretty consistent with working out in the past month, but I didn't control my eating habits, so, since last week I also started to do that.
It did help me a lot to look at youtube videos, of super fit girls, that post "what did I eat today" vlogs.
This girl is super nice, funny and simple (I don't like those pouty virgin- mary "influencers" on youtube), so, I follow her:

Thats awesome that you've been able to stay on track. I've been getting my inspiration from twitter, all the escorts posting their pics has me thinking...awe, I remember when I looked like that lol So they are my fitspiration right about now.

Fess up time, I never did my walk or bike yesterday... I just didnt My eating was really good though, so not a total loss. I'm going to try and go for a walk this morning before I start work though to make up for it.

Actually I've learned to take small steps and accept that this week, maybe I can only do 1 workout and incorporate some march in place steps, next week i can workout only 3 days and the next week after, to be able to workout 6 times. The thing is to squeeze a workout whenever you can, because I've been in that place, to not be able to workout till friday and be like "meh, the week is fucked anyway, i'll do it from monday", tottaly skipping trough saturday and sunday, even if i had plenty of time to workout both of the days.
So, ditching that mindset helped me. I am chubby, but I am slowly starting to shape myself, with baby steps and the acceptance that i can't do everything around the clock, workout all the time 5 days a week. It's veeeery useful to the mood as well!

PS: Try the workouts I posted above, they are like 35 minutes in total (warm up and cardio 15 minutes, abs workout another 25 minutes - or you can do the extra challenge, wich is only 16 minutes- and the cooldown is 5 minutes) if you don't feel like going out. It burns at least 250 calories on the lazy mode. If you push yourself hard and increase the speed, you can go up to 350 easily.

Yeah thats what Im learning, that in general, every bit towards a goal works. And when things are hard, just break it down into smaller and smaller bits til you find a bit you can do. I deal with PTSD, anxiety and depression, so its really hard for me to get a move on most days with anything Im trying to do. Especially now in the current environment in our country, and things going on in my personal life, so many things are feeling out of whack. So trying to stay focused and get something..anything done!

Baby steps! Any steps! I'll check out the workouts, maybe I'll go ahead and try one of them today. For me every day is ab day lol I used to have a kick ass stomach and when I look at myself now I wonder wtf happened (probably pizza and donuts, but I dont wanna assume anything )
