Dizzy Calling all ladies who have experience with HAIR EXTENSIONS!!!

My hair is about armpit length with fine strands, medium thickness. I am debating between getting tape ins or clip ins. This hairdresser I like does them but I’m sure they will be expensive and a pain in the ass upkeep (maybe???) lol and I’m also TERRIFIED of getting those traction bald spots. She uses Belladonna hair (is this a good brand?)
My other option is to purchase some clip ins BUT those will be a pain in the ass to put in and remove every night and I’d be constantly worried about them falling out. Especially on stage I love flipping my hair around and doing pole. I did buy 2 sets of the Luxy brand off Poshmark awhile ago and I could not for the life of me blend the damn things even with 2 packs of hair. I guess I am leaning to tape ins but want to hear some input from dancers who’ve worked while wearing them?
    I guess my questions are
    1. can I flip my hair around, spin and go upside down on the pole without having to worry about tape ins loosening?
    2. What exactly does it mean to “take care” of the tape ins? Can I just shampoo and condish like normal?
    3. do I have to worry about customers playing with my hair with tape ins?

    1. Yes
    2. You’ll have to wash, dry and comb them more gently, otherwise you could pull them out together with your own hair. You will also have to stylize your hair almost daily with curling iron or hair straightener, otherwise they look shitty and don't blend well with your hair.
    3. Never heard of that.

Having extensions is fun, but definitely takes more time and damages your hair. I took mine out and will wear only clips from now on.

How do you feel dancing with clip ins? Would you be able to dance around freely without worrying about them falling out? If that’s the case I think I’d lean more towards the clip ins

You can't do crazy stuff on pole and flipp your hair too much with clips. They can fall out. Only slow dance

I mean, try tape ins if you want. I know lot of dancers who wear them for years and are very happy with them, but the keratin ones are more popular. Hair locks are much smaller, you have waaay more of them in your head and you can do all the crazy stuff on stage with them. They are more expensive and it takes 4-5 hours to glue them in. With tapes it's done in like 30-60 min.

Thanks girl! I’ll try the tape ins and maybe upgrade to the bonds if I like them. Any tips to reduce damage?
