Default Dress code for (vanilla)job interview?

I’m going to a interview for a job at this medical center that specializes in plastic surgery. How would you dress? (Not as a nurse, but I’ll be welcoming clients and take care of them providing all kind of information and things like that.)
I was initially thinking that I could go with a nice just over the knee dress and classic heels? It’s been so long since I had a vanilla job interview.. or should I dress more revealing since it’s a plastic surgery clinic?

Just wear a nice blouse and either a skirt or pants that go with it. Pumps or low heels, would also be a plus as well. Don't blow out your Make-Up, either. If you happen to have a watch, wear it.

    Good luck.

Oh, and don't go to the nines, like you're going to Studio 54 (Or some club, if you don't know what Studio 54 is), dress understated..

Raziel has a good point in “understated”

If the manager is a woman and you show up looking better than her ..... it causes all kinds of problems. Sad but true.

Skirt suits recommended; skirts should be a little below the knee and never shorter than above the knee. Pressed, collared button-down shirt

Nude (skin-tone)or dark-colored panty-hose and closed-toeheels Dress shoes (pumps, flats, heels)–No platform or >2.5inch heels

Make-up should be minimal and conservative(daytime makeup)

No visible tattoos; pale color nail polish; no perfume or body sprays

Long hair should be pulled back away from face

Once you HAVE the job, you can blow out your make-up and dress as sexy as you want (within reason), but not for the interview.

Dress formal and nice, without overdoing anything and I'm sure you'll be fine. While you shouldn't overdo the make up, I think you should focus to appear fresh and "well groomed".

    Good luck with the interview!

You should also ask what safety precautions they're taking. You and the interviewer should both wear masks.

Eh! Follow the culture....If you blend in with what everyone else is doing, you will have an easier time. If you use fashion to stand out/make a statement....you'll find co-workers slick hating and even try to get you fired

    Exactly

    Exactly.

My last manager at this vanilla job turned corporate politic hellhole was a demon looking woman who tried to compete with me. She was ALWAYS stalking me around work and hard staring at me. I'm like either this broad wants to fuck me or fight me....either way she must like what she see but I ain't have time for her petty ass shenanigans

Despite me just living my life, working the job, following orders (like a good corporate slave), and following dress code, I apparently unwittingly 'outshined' the manager with my natural good looks and my on-point business casual attire.

Wasn't my fault the manager and co-workers loved the "I just rolled out of bed casual chic" look. But once I left there I realized my subconscious inability to 'blend in' was because that job wasn't on my level

Anyways you'll do fine. Dress well but not too well (until you learn the culture of the place - so you can fit in with the people already working there) and you'll be fine.

Thx for reminding me of that! It says on their web site that you have to wear a face mask from the time you enter their premises, so it seems like they’re on the ball.
I’m heading over tomorrow. All this dress code talking made me more nervous, every time I look in the mirror, I now only see a stripper lol...

Dress one step above the every day wear for the role. You've received good guidance already. Good luck tomorrow! I once way overdressed, wore a full suit. Got the job but still cringe at the memory.

I think it went pretty well, I felt awkward in the beginning since I don’t have much experience being in these situations. But as it turned into more like a conversation rather than an interview I felt better.
I’m expecting an answer before the end of this week. Now, I can only hope for the best

From the perspective on the other side of the desk, the best interview is a conversation. I know from the resume that the candidates I interview are qualified for the job. Or, if it is an entry level job, I'll teach them what they need to know to do the job. What I'm trying to figure out is, do I want to spend 8+ hours a day working with this person. If the answer is yes, then they have the job, if it's no, then they don't.
